- Small performance patch - 9 September 2026
==Patch notes==GameplayProbability of conversion by preachers now increase by preacher xp level. A priest with 5 XP should double the conversion probability.FixesSeveral performance updates. Issue occurred when a town is filled with more than 14 units is now resolved.Recurring issue with relations is now patched but remains untested. Localization issue at the end game is resolved.End game window now appears only once.
- Cloud saves are now available - 5 September 2026
Cloud SavesCloud saves are now available between different operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux)The game now has limited number of Autosaves. The number of autosaves can be set in the gameplay settings menu (default: 15). Older saves are deleted automatically. This only affects the save files with ".autosav" extension. Older autosaves with ".sav" file extensions are not affected. ==Patch Notes== Nobles! New Nobility option is added to new game menu, representing the remnants of feudal lords in Europe in 1500s. When enabled the new Nobility unit is added to London, Paris, Hamburg, Munich, Vienna, Moscow, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Buda, Belgrade, Warsaw, Vilnius, Königsberg, Krakow and Lviv (Mostly in Eastern Europe, trying to stay loyal to historical accords to the best of my ability)Nobility unit is the first unit that has different portraits when assembled or garrisoned. (see above) When assembled they form a mounted knight. - English Longbowman is now available! - 16 August 2026
Special UnitEngland now has Longbowman as first special unit, replacing Crossbowman. Tooltip overhaulA nested tooltips system now enable reading the game mechanics inside the game. Hovering over most tooltips over 2 seconds will pop up another with further detail. The grudge tooltip now shows both current and next turn changes.The population growth now shows a detailed tooltip listing affecting factors.GameplayNew Game Option: When enabled, units now can pass through own units. Occupying same tiles are still not allowed (except when assembling armies and ambushes)New Game Option: When enabled, units can perform surprise attacks, declaring war effectively. I am happy to announce a huge patch to Imperial Ambitions demo and playtest in this update! Here are some of the changes; ==Research & Technology==Players now can consume Book and Art to research techs in the Tecnology Tab on the left page. They can also view the current technological status on the right page. Tech tree contains over 180 techs and the names of some techs may change between game sessions. This design choice was introduced to make players to rely on the name and the definition to draw their own research path. Just like real science, you'll have to break a few eggs to make an GM omelette. ==Updated Upgrades View==The upgrades view had an overhaul, visualizing the skilltree and the dependencies of each upgrade. They are identical to trade routes but requires criminals, cost more, and cannot be blocked by boycotts. - Save and Load system is now available in Playtest! - 23 July 2024
This patch focus on introducing a Save N Load system for Imperial Ambitions. Now players can save their progress in the Playtest in-game menu. This feature will not work in the tutorial scenes!
