• Updates to the Bubble Minigame - 27 September 2023

  UPDATES TO THE BUBBLE MINIGAME There is now a health bar on the screen. Shooting causes a small health loss and getting hit by bubbles causes big health loss. Hitting the correct bubbles will recover your health. Hitting the correct bubbles cause other bubbles to change direction. Bubbles move slightly slower.   Bubbles mini game is among the road encounters you find by chance. (Like dating, farming etc.) In this one you are able to pick a pool of themed kanji and do the usual kanji-hiragana matching through a new way. Though admittedly this one will not be as challenging or as effective at teaching. It is a side mechanic for meditating & relaxing. Each ball you throw or each time you get hit, it will cost you money and each correct hit you do will earn you money. Now there is a new achievement that is related to this minigame. Popping 20 bubbles without ever getting hit is the requirement for getting it. There are new quality of life improvements to the game. You no longer have to start a new game in order to change the "Auto-center car" option. It can be accessed from the pause menu. You can access to dictionary menu from certain events where it makes sense. So you can sell Kanji on the spot…

  Kanji Drive Version 1.2 Native aspect ratio is changed from 2:1 to 16:10. Every text and graphic is now adjusted for this new aspect ratio. With the change of aspect ratio, there is now more road visible on the screen, the car is also below where it used to be. It got slightly easier to react to incoming flashcards There are now Steam Achievements for the game. 7 of them: Can be gained by Leveling Up Selling a Kanji from the Dictionary Earning and holding 1000+ EPs Giving your date a gift Finishing all the dates Farming 10 Wheat Changing the Skin of your Car A bug that made the car glitch out in the middle road when V-sync was On is now fixed.
