  Hi everyone! It's been a while since we've given a detailed update and many of you have been waiting for a devlog, so let's get down to business! You can read the full devlog over on Itch.io, but we'll summarize the important points below! First, Paper Lily's development. In terms of development progress: it's still advancing, but lately it's been really slow. Changelog The game will now do its best to gracefully recover after a dead end or crash, to prevent losing too much progress. Added a setting to control whether the "Skip" option shows up when dying (it no longer depends on death count). Renamed "Skip Dialogue" setting to "Hold to Fast Forward". Player is now prevented from picking up jar or lamp if they already took the other one. Fishing is now a little faster. Added the ability to leave a flower at the grave.   Hi all! Here we are again with another round of changes that address the gameplay experience in a few areas: Changelog Improved on the design of the puzzle in the station tracks, as many players were getting stuck. Fixed an out of bounds situation in the forest station. Added a shiny on the note near the Lakeside boat, as it was hard to spot. The papers on the wall of the Lakeside Temple fell down, as a result they are now more noticeable by players. Added a small hint if the player tries to unclog the pipes in an unintended way. The first doorknob is now selected by default when interacting with the cursed door. Fixed some minor texts in Miss Knives' house. Fixed some in-game typos. We'll have another update soon for a few remaining items, then we can get to the translations!

• Paper Lily Chapter 1 Out Now! - 26 January 2024

  Hi everyone! Please forgive us for not posting often enough on Steam, our community management skills are... debatable. It's been a while and we're grateful for everyone's patience. We're happy to announce that Paper Lily Chapter 1 (sequel to Project Kat) is out now! It took a long time to get this game on Steam. Last year we encountered lots of new challenges and our itch.io release worried us a bit. We weren't ready for a Steam release until the game reached a certain level of quality. It's hard to be satisfied when there's always an opportunity to improve things and add more fun features, but... I think we finally have a version of the game that we're proud of, and that also takes in consideration everyone's feedback. All this to say, it's finally ready!
