  Hi everyone.Thanks so much for playing my little game, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.I am sorry for having been silent for so long, but with a life as a software developer during daytime, it can sometimes take some strength to get going.Penguin with a Pumpgun is not dead, but there are some changes to what I have been informing and I want to elaborate on those.The updated Penguin with a Pumpgun, that I have been working on is currently postponed a bit.The same game, won't appear in this game's repository (Penguin with a Pumpgun/pwp2023), since I realized that I risk ending up killing the old game if I replace it here.   Penguin with a Pumpgun DX, which was announced some time ago is now playable in it's current state on the BETA branch. I've decided to unlock it so that players that might want to have a look at what's incoming can do so. Keep in mind that this is a work-in-progress branch, that means: !!! Expect errors and in worst case a non-beatable game. !!! To play the beta-branch, go to properties of Penguin With A Pumpgun, then BETAS and pick beta. Currently known bugs (that are on the fix list): Music breaks at different events. Force Field Melee powerup is a bit broken position-wise. Mystical hidden monster sometimes hits collision grenades, causing unexpected explosion. Missing Timed Powerups. Not all boss rooms have money divided onto monsters.   Thank you so much for playing. I've been playing Penguin with a Pumpgun a lot. Maybe so much that I overlooked some critical stuff during the testing of the game. I have decided to update Penguin with a Pumpgun with an incoming patch. ETA: Still to be determined. The new version will include, among other stuff, * Shop where you can buy stuff * 5 new weapons * New powerup system - power ups will now be activated at different times on a level instead of permanent power ups that you got from the seal. * Better, updated, tutorial. I am still working on this update and figuring out when it's done. When the new version is released, I will put the old v.1.5. on a branch that you can access in case you're in love with the old game. • PWAP Update 1.5 - 4 November 2023

  Lots of optimization around the game. Fixed crash in settings on Steam Deck. Fixed bug where player could not throw grenades after the tutorial. Controller schemes are now available in-game for Switch Pro, XBox and PS controllers. XBox will be default controller scheme. Happy hunting!

  Feedback I have been given have been that the Left ThumbStick couldn't be used for moving. That has been fixed now.

• Patch 1.1 - 9 July 2023

  Changed PCG algo to support set pieces. Bug fixes Monsters now can't move through doors in the hallway. Framerate should stay at max even when the game is unfocused. This should help some streamers out there. Have fun.

• Penguin with a Pumpgun is on it's way! - 24 June 2023

  Penguin with a Pumpgun is soon released on Steam with compatibility for Linux, Windows and SteamDeck. I started this project in March 2022, believing I could finish the game in half a year. I was wrong, but even though it has taken a bit longer I am happy to announce that the game is out VERY soon. To celebrate, I have uploaded a new demo resembling the final game's first three levels. Let the fun begin :)

• New, updated demo - 20 April 2023

  The Penguin with a Pumpgun demo has been updated to reflect the actual gameplay as it is being developed. This means a harder game, raging zombies and other cool stuff. The demo has been updated with * New track "Egypt" by Original Fire. * New track by SwedishWargoat. * A random seed between 0-64! That means 128 possible levels in this demo! * Changed Elderly Zombie behaviour drastically. * Improved Young Zombie behaviour. * Improved Heavy Zombie behaviour. * Some RNG-related fixes / additions.   The demo has been updated with some important fixes made to the main game. Physics have been updated to support frame independent game time. All characters have been updated to support frame independent game time. Lighting effects from alpha has been added. Better/more fun particles.
