  Hello everyone! Hope everyone is good! It was few months since I have released version 2.1. I wasn't able to do much but there are still some new stuff and bug fixes. This is basically a hotfix for some annoying bugs that were reported.   Hello everyone! It has been around two months since the release of TaskPals 2.0. I have been fixing bugs reported in the Steam Discussions and the Discord bug report channel. Bug fixes Fixed Pals glitching in the air if their behavior was changed while they were falling. Added a green border to the selected Pal’s icon in the menu to improve visibility.   Hello everyone! The new version with long-awaited changes is finally here! Here’s a list of the most important updates: Workshop support and editor: You can now download user-created Pals from the Steam Workshop or create your own directly within the TaskPals app. Multiscreen support: If you have multiple monitors, you can move Pals seamlessly between screens. Reworked interaction system: You can now drag and throw Pals around your screen with the left click, and pet them with the right click. (Note: heart particles have been removed.) New user interface: A fresh look to enhance your experience. As I have limited hardware and knowledge, there might be things I’ve overlooked.   Hello everyone What to Expect The long-awaited update is set to be released in two weeks, on Monday, the 27th. I am currently putting the final touches on it and ensuring quality control. In summary, new version of TaskPals will include: Workshop support New pal behavior, allowing pals to be dragged across the screen Multi-monitor support, enabling pals to move across multiple screens A redesigned user interface Various quality and performance improvements Final Words I initially planned to finish this update sooner, but I had some new ideas I wanted to incorporate, and I didn’t want to rush the process. • Change of pricing model - 8 November 2024

  Hello everyone! Pricing model change In the next few days, TaskPals is changing its pricing model to pay to play. Which means: App will cost $4 All DLCs will be removed and by default included in the base app. All users who had claimed/downloaded TaskPals while it was free will get to keep it after the pricing change! Workshop support is coming soon! Plans for the future As I said in my previous announcement, TaskPals is currently being reworked from the ground up. Which means that I will no longer be updating the current version of TaskPals as I am devoting all my time to building the new, better version. New TaskPals is currently half-way to be completed.   Hello everyone! Long time no see TaskPals was born as a hobby project. Nothing more or less, I made it for myself and my close friends. After seeing how much they enjoyed using it, I thought it would be a good idea to release it and make it possible for other people to enjoy it as well. More than a year has passed since I released this project and the attention which TaskPals got in that time was crazy for me to even think was possible.   Hello everyone! First, I extend my sincerest apologies for the prolonged delay in updates. New menu First thing, new visuals! The new menu is very similar to the old one, but with a more modern touch to it. Second, a few additional prompts were added when closing the menu. Bunch of users don't know how to close the app, so now when you close the menu, you are presented with options to hide the app or to close it completely. New feature An important feature was added. TaskPals now has the option to hide from Steam status. It was something that many people had wanted for a long time. Now it's in, with the option to turn it off or on.   BIG (GOOD) NEWS! Dear pals, I have an important update regarding the recent false virus flag issue that some of you encountered while using TaskPals. I deeply apologize for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused you over the past month and a half. And I am thankful for your trust and patience! What Happened? During this period, my app was mistakenly flagged as a potential security threat by certain antivirus programs, leading to false alarms. This was entirely unintentional and not the result of any malicious activity on our part. One of the main reasons for this was the fullscreen detection method that the app used, which the antivirus program mistaken for something harmful and bad. • Update with the Microsoft and false-positive Virus flag - 24 August 2023

  Hello everyone. First, I am sorry because I have not posted in a while. Here I am now, unfortunately with some bad news. I had no luck with Microsoft. As far as I can tell, my application was submitted and processed automatically, which resulted in it being flagged as a virus again. I am trying to fix the problem, find and change the part of the code that was detected as a virus, but I am not sure how long that will take, as I have lost motivation because all my effort and time was basically for nothing... If you think you could help, or you had experience with this before, feel free to contact me. I cannot and will not ask you to believe my words. If you do not believe it, there are plenty of other virus tests online that see no problems with my application. • False Alert with Microsoft Antivirus! - 27 July 2023

  Hello everyone, In last two days a lot of people reached to me that they have problem with TaskPals application and Microsoft Antivirus program. Antivirus program says that there is "CryptInject" type of virus in this application. There is absolutely no virus or anything malicious in this application. In fact, there were no updates on application in last few days so there is nothing new added, which means that virus couldn't be added in that period. I am looking into this, also I will reach out to the Microsoft and see what they can do about this. Once again, I assure you that there is nothing malicious or bad in the app, still if you don't believe me, please uninstall the app and wait for the next update.   First, BIG THANKS for everyone that downloaded TaskPals, gave feedback, wrote a thread, gave a review! I didn't really think that this project will be appreciated this much, so thank you once more!
