- Introducing Beef Cat Ultra! - 21 March 2024
Introducing Beef Cat Ultra! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2796510/Beef_Cat_Ultra/ BEEF CAT ULTRA WISHLIST PAGE A retro-infused auto-shooter where you play as the titular Beef Cat and 5 of his friends. Battle the forces of Some Big Guy through 4 hand-crafted worlds across several gameplay styles like Survival, Collectathon, and Gauntlet (the like old game series that's sadly not continued anymore). Watch the trailer and take it all in, we'll be discussing the game in much more detail as time goes on but let's meet the Beef Cat Team! Our Media Creator is @thet.blahaman, Thomas Blaha, and put together this first teaser. He is also our certified Steam Deck play tester. The rocking soundtrack is put together by @tacosaladninja, Andrew James Smith, which by-the-way, I sprung this entire project on him after recruiting him for Neon ClusterFx. Not only did he pivot, he's made all but one t…
- Patch 1.1 - 21 May 2023
Patch 1.1 A New Underground We begin the journey to the depths of the patch notes with an overhauled underground experience. Starting small, a visual make-over has been done on the Frack Spots to make them less contrasting with the dirt and appear more visually palette-able. Small and subtle but effective. Introducing Dense Dirt in the underground: this new underground tile has a gravel-y look and can be built through but pipes built through it will cost more monthly maintenance. A tutorial for Dense Dirt has been added to Scenario 2: Rocky Situation, and the tiles themselves have been added to more than a dozen stages throughout each mode. Permafrost is re-freshed: building pipes through the icey permafrost tiles now shatters the ice while doing the same environmental damage as before. This is given a unique sound effect and animation and makes the tiles feel more special. Introducing…
- Fracking Milestone! - 18 April 2023
I'm so happy to say over 500 of you have made Frack the World such a personal success! I had written in my notebook prior to launch that I expected 50 people to play my game. Lofty goals. To be crossing the 500 player threshold a little over a month into the game's life is mind-blowing to me. So, thank you all - really. Anyways, several weeks have passed since launch and 8 patches alongside it that have addressed dozens of quirks and quality of life things. Beyond that I was able to add a new company and scenario. It's the quality of life stuff that really makes me happy and I hope it's noticeable in-game. I think that very must-address launch issues are out of the way at this point, and I'm looking ahead to a major patch. So let me give some teases as to what to expect. Patch 1.08 will be the largest I've done so far, adding new content, further quality of life options, and tweaks to q…
- Hotfix 1.07a - 11 April 2023
Hotfix 1.07a Changes -potentially fixed an issue with fullscreen mode** -fixed an error when opening the lab in bird mode **I could not replicate this issue for the life of me but had it described fairly clear by two separate users. I never was able to replicate it - but I think I did identify where the issue was coming from, I have no way of confirming that but the code makes sense to me. My suspicion is that anybody with ultrawide monitors or particularly large monitors in general were the affected group - in which case you should be good.

- Patch 1.06 - 22 March 2023
Patch 1.06 Changes There is a lot to unload here. - Hotfix 1.03 - 4 March 2023
Hotfix 1.03 Changes NEW FEATURE can view all previously triggered news scrolls in-match in the ESC menu OTHER edited the text of several news scroll stories smoother control over master volume setting smoother control over news speed setting further increased collision check for the click-to-start on the title screen added a sound effect when opening and closing the controls menu A big one for a hotfix probably, but every triggered news in the UI can be read at any time now in-match when you open the ESC menu. Just highlight the news and read away to your heart's content! This was based on feedback from multiple people, including my partner, so it seemed like something I should implement. Smoother control in the settings is based on direct feedback from the community as well. Thanks for the suggestion and I hope it feels better! Happy Fracking, Kyle

Thanks everyone, Kyle
- Frack the World is Available Now! - 1 March 2023
Frack the World is available now! Wow. So I made a Reddit post this morning hoping to drive my expectation for 5 players up to 6. A sincere heartfelt thanks to the Reddit community for making this not only one of the most memorable days of my life - but leaving me totally speechless. As of writing this, my hope of 5 players has been far succeeded and there are over 100 people fracking the world. You have no idea what that means to me. I have worked on this game for so long. I'm so proud of it. And I am so excited that so many people are playing it - even if it does kind of terrify me. Please please let me know if you stream the game, I will try to pop in. If you have any questions or feedback, don't hesitate to let me know. I want to listen to all feedback earnestly. I want to quickly make some context before the next bit. I am a solo developer with a full time work schedule and this is…
- Frack the World Releases Wednesday March 1st! - 31 January 2023
Frack the World, the first game from Beef Cat, launches March 1st! Before I get into Frack the World, which is already introduced in the game page, let me introduce myself. Beef Cat is a small team of brothers making gaming content across streaming, YouTube, and game development - consisting of myself (Kyle) and my brothers (Thomas, Alex). We are all passionate about the game industry and all get different things out of it. Unified under the Beef Cat umbrella we all get a place to express it. Frack the World is a solo dev game, made entirely by myself (Kyle) aside from some small things. Some early art assets were originally put together by another member of Beef Cat but exist in the game now with large edits by me. The soundtrack is also not done by myself - instead using Royalty Free feel-good corporate tracks and lo-fi to drive home the satire of the game's concept. This has been a w…
