Steam Achievements Desolation now features Steam Achievements that's obtainable while playing the game. There's only 7 for now, even though some of them are rather hard to achieve. More to come :)

Features Intro cutscene for 'Wanridge City' mission is now skippable. The 'Wanridge City' map features more content with models to make the map fuller. Improvements Flashlight will now automatically disable upon picking up a note if active. A note instruction screen pops up as you pick up a note. You are now able to crawl when you are knocked down.

Dear Steam Community, First off we wanted to say thankyou to everyone who took interest in our passion project, Desolation. Whilst the inital build of the game was very early, we have been working hard to make sure the update takes on board the advise we have recieved from those playing. With this i am proud to say that we have rebuilt the game from the ground up. We always said we wanted to make games people wanted to play and with this i truly hope you will all enjoy the world and game a lot more. With the gameplay completely changed and the map changed to incorporate a 'less is more' attitude at the advise of those playing the previous build, causing the game to be more balanced, run better and be less of a confusing experience. - Desolation v1.1 - State of the Game - 25 March 2023
Ever since the release we've been working hours on hours on perfecting and fixing every bug, so with that we've just released our official roadmap for the planned updates. So the first planned update is called "Desolation v1.1", it will revamp all of the systems, make it more bug free, feature more content, make it more enjoyable, smoother, have UI redesigns and such. PATCH NOTE v1.0.2 Bug Fixes 1. 'Good' ending wouldn't be played regardless. 2. Not every AI would notice you. 3. Crow sounds were really loud. Improvements 1. Fixed the volume on certain sounds. 2. Optimization process has started. Not final but should hopefully have a few improvements. 3. More AI added to the map. 4. Made AI smarter. Added 1. COMPASS - A navigation bar at the top has been added with point of interest waypoints to increase understanding during gameplay. 2. PATCH NOTE v1.01 Bug Fixes 1. Console showing top left. 2. Bug lines around vehicles. 3. 'test item' on bombs when hovering over placed bombs. 4. When person leaves and joins the objectives for all players got reset. (Temporary fix) 5. You were unable to fit into the scientist tent easily. 6. Dynamic weather would feature rain every single night. 7. You could find a way into the city without getting your objective updated. 8. AI couldn't see the player. (Still getting worked on to properly perfect it) Improvements 1. Smoothed out the player movement animations. 2. Added more sounds. 3. Changed objectives to more clearly state where you need to go. Next patch is planned to include a minimap, more balanced sounds, AI improvement and minor changes.
