• UPCOMING RELEASE - 11 May 2023

  On the 18th I plan to come out of Early Access and officially release Axium's box. I have enjoyed working on Axium's Box but the truth is there is not much more I can add to it or change. There will be one last update on launch date and barring any major bugs that will be it for the time being. If there is anything you think should be changed or added before the launch please let me know :)

• More bug fixes. - 19 April 2023

  Fixed achievements! They now work properly on Steam! Fixed a bug that could crash the game on winning. Fixed background bugs with the floating swords and planets. Fixed bugs with several different particle effects. Fixed load and save game errors that could happen if you quit or crashed during the end game sequence. Numerous other small and none game changes tweaks.

• Major Overhaul - 12 April 2023

  A complete overhaul from sound to animations, and everything in between. Falling too far or taking too much damage can cause the player to ragdoll The player can ragdoll at will with a hidden key. When taking damage the player now has a physical reaction. Some 3d models have been remade or replaced with high poly versions. Many objects now play sounds when the character is close to them. The ground floor has new animated textures. Most cosmetics have improved textures. Game physics has been reworked. Just lightly taping the jump button now results in a smaller jump. Fixed many vaulting bugs. Charged gravity spell now has sounds and particle effects when used. Jump pads now have sounds and particle effects when used. Powerups now have sounds and particle effects when received. High jumps now have their own animation. While doing a double jump the player may do a flip. Falling now has a f…

• UPDATE: Step UP! - 21 March 2023

  Grab the ledge, you idiot! ːsteammockingː One of the biggest frustrations in platformers, including my own, is the tendency for characters to fall even if they make contact with a ledge. As a kid, I used to yell at the screen, telling my character they could have just reached out and grabbed the ledge. So, in my game, I decided to fix this issue. Now, if your character is close enough to a ledge and not too low when you hit the jump button, they will reach out and pull themselves up. While this tweak does make the game easier, it also adds a smoother and more satisfying gameplay experience. So, grab that ledge, and don't fall all the way back down!

• Major optimization! - 10 March 2023

  I have extensively reviewed and optimized the game's code and shaders, resulting in improved performance. This optimization process included identifying and fixing bugs, streamlining the shaders, and implementing new optimization techniques to enhance the game's overall efficiency. Players can expect to see a significant boost in the game's FPS, with an estimated improvement ranging from 15-30 FPS. This increase in FPS means that the game will run more smoothly and seamlessly, providing a more immersive and enjoyable gaming experience. The optimization should help machines or computers with lower-end specifications run the game even on "Epic" without falling below 30 FPS. :)

• Small update - 24 February 2023

  Fix some audio bugs and added a LeonHeart studios splash screen. There are also some minor changes to the tutorials making it so that if the player changes the default key bindings they will properly show the new key bindings. Not much else at the moment :) Though if you encounter a bug or have a suggestion I would love to hear about it.
