• First Update September 2026! - 11 September 2026

  Hey everyone! Thank you so much for your patience, especially those of you who have been stuck with no way to restart, we have now added a chapter restart in the settings menu and added guard rails to hopefully avoid the weird glitch where people just appeared miles out of the playable area (oops). We've made a bunch of other updates as well, and although I still have loads more to do I wanted to get an update out asap, please remember we are a tiny tiny team making a small indie game so it has taken a while to manage to do the update, and we will keep working on it, I've read all steam reviews and feedback and done my best to address everything major! • The Quiet Things Steam Release date - 18th June - 11 June 2026

  Hi everyone! Thank you so much for your incredible patience while we dealt with issues on Steam. We did submit our build within timelines but due to the content it seemed like we triggered a fairly intense and lengthy additional review process where they were asking for lots of details about the content, and then asked for a full development build and then were asking about permission to represent people's likeness in the game, and every time they raised a query, we responded promptly but it took 3-5 business days to get a reply so very sadly cause delays to our anticipated release date last week.Thankfully the build is now approved and we can finally announce that our little game will finally be available on Steam on the 18th June (5pm UK time). • The BAFTA Games Awards pulls indie game's trailer at the last minute, citing "the wellbeing of all guests" - 18 April 2026

  The developer of upcoming indie adventure The Quiet Things says the last-minute decision to remove their trailer from the BAFTA Games Awards showcase "was devastating," and left her in tears. Silver Script Games founder Alyx Jones explains that she was "so hopeful that this tiny indie game might actually be seen by a huge audience," but was told on her way to the nominees' party that it had been pulled from the show "due to its content." • The Quiet Things so far... - 3 January 2025

  2024 has been a huge year for us, we've now been working on the game for 2 years since receiving the Prototype Fund from UKGF back in January 2022. A lot has happened and changed in that time. Funding We've been lucky in the last 2 years to raise: -£30k from the UK Games Fund -£9k through Kickstarter -£50k through Innovate UK -$30k through ID@Xbox For a small indie team this has really enabled us to do a lot, even though it's a small budget compared to a lot of big AAA games, for us it's more than we ever could have imagined. Dialogue As a narrative focused game, dialogue is really one of the most important aspects of the game to get right.
