- Botanical and Mineral Research Notes - 30 June 2026
Botanical ResearchThese first few files show that Norcek has conducted lots of botanical research.Several documents catalogue plant-like species that look… strangely familiar to us. Though some of these plants' structures and behaviours don’t align with any known classifications, suggesting they may be directly linked to the Rift?Other materials suggest that Norcek’s research is not limited to observation. Certain organisms are being selected for controlled cultivation and experimentation. What they’re hoping to achieve with them… remains unclear.Rift-Derived MineralsAside from all the strange-looking plants, additional files focus on minerals recovered from Rift 0.Several reports document the discovery of unusual crystallised minerals, including one that can expand, contract, and alter its structure when in contact with one of the earlier found organisms. The researchers called it “goop…

- The Rise of Norcek Industries - 24 April 2026
Norcek is HiringThe next set of documents from the leaked Norcek archive looks like public documents rather than internal notes. We've received newspaper clippings, newsletters, posters. All seem to be describing the sudden emergence of Norcek Industries and how they present themselves to the world.Across these materials, a pattern starts to form. Rapid global influence. Scientific breakthroughs. Expanding operations. Repeated references to the construction of large research facilities in Antarctica, built to investigate what is described only as “the anomaly discovered in the 1940s.”This shifts the focus to something else...Scattered between the lines are mentions of a growing crisis; one that seems to affect more than just infrastructure. On top of that, witnesses claimed to have seen an incident over Antarctica. An explosion. A rip in the sky...Whether these events are connected rema…

Hello Explorers,It’s a wrap! The Triple-i Initiative demo has come to an end… and what a journey it has been.Over 45,000 Explorers stepped into the world of We Were Here Tomorrow, and seeing you experience the game for the first time has meant a lot to us. From your first steps inside the facility to the final puzzle of the demo, we’ve been watching you explore, experiment, and communicate… and sometimes, not communicate. We’ve seen you solve puzzles in clever and unexpected ways, and occasionally push the game mechanics further than we thought was possible. Many of you also helped us spot things we hadn’t seen before. Some of the bugs you found were very creative. One duo even managed to escape the map together. And then there was the moment where one of you discovered you could aim your hook gun at yourself… resulting in what might be the first-ever We Were Here facepalm. We’re still no…

- Research Archive: Expedition Suit Development - 24 March 2026
A new set of internal files from Norcek Industries has surfaced. These files detail their analysis of prior Explorers who also operated in Antarctic conditions and went on similar expeditions as our researchers.According to these records, Norcek researchers recovered a set of yellow and red equipment belonging to earlier Explorers and conducted a full technical review on their suits. Their conclusion: these suits were severely underqualified and outdated for the environmental extremes of the area. The confidential documents that follow show Norcek’s response.Norcek’s R&D department has studied the suits extensively and appears to have developed entirely new expedition suits, optimized for durability, mobility, environmental resistance, and communication integration. Early concepts are heavily marked, rejected, and revised, suggesting an unusually obsessive design process. The final pages…

- Confidential Files Leaked: Norcek Industries - 23 February 2026
We did not expect to make an announcement like this.Earlier this week, we received a complete internal research archive belonging to a company calling itself Norcek Industries. No sender. No explanation. Just a single note attached with the words:“These were never meant to leave the facility.” According to the documents, they operate a private research facility dedicated to investigating anomalous environments and phenomena. Many of these documents are signed with the same initials: “K.B.”Whoever this “K.B.” is, it seems they didn’t simply just document this research. They were deeply involved in it. Personally. Obsessively. We don’t know who leaked these files to us and what Norcek Industries is researching exactly… What we do know is that these documents reference locations, phenomena, and technologies that feel mysteriously familiar to us and the We Were Here universe. It is clear that…
