• November 24 Hotfix - 24 November 2023

  Quick hotfix for one of the most annoying issues since launch. Enemies should not be invisible anymore. Issue was caused by incomplete recycling of enemy sprites. Health drops were also reduced by half to increase the game's difficulty. Changelog: Fixed invisible enemies Reduced dropped health to increase game difficulty

  After two years of hard work, I'm happy to finally release Earth's Greatest Defender in early access on Steam! EGD is a fast paced 2D action game in which your goal is to obliterate hundreds of evil aliens using classic weapons and your trusty grappling hook. Shoot first, ask questions later never. • Announcing Earth's Greatest Defender early access - 11 October 2023

  After almost two years of development, Earth's Greatest Defender is ready for early access! The game will be available for free on Steam on November 17th. You can add it to your wishlist by visiting its Steam page. EGD is a game about flying through levels using the grappling hook, obliterating hundreds of enemies with classic weapons, and rescuing all the hidden civilians. The initial release will feature an action packed campaign with over 10 levels, a speedrun mode, as well as multiplayer deathmatch. The game will be released in early access as there is still a ton that I would like to add, but it has reached a point where it is ready to be played by everyone who enjoys fast shooters, explosive gameplay, and grappling hooks.
