- New game from ‘Feed the Deep’ dev (me) coming out soon! - 11 August 2026
Hello!Luke Muscat here, AKA the solo dev behind Feed the Deep. First of all, a big thank you to everyone who played, reviewed, and was generally nice about Feed the Deep when it launched back in 2024. I’ve been in this industry a long time, but this was my first foray into solo indie development, and much like diving into a deep ocean cave full of lovecraftian creatures... it was pretty intimidating. Your support is appreciated, then and now. Thank you!I’m here today with some big news: my next game has a release date!Doing pretty much what it says on the tin, Normal Golf Game is a relaxing tribute to the noble sport of golf. You wake up on a gigantic golf course, trapped, disoriented, and $100,000 in debt to a deranged game designer calling himself ‘Luke Muscat’. Golfing got you into this mess. Can golfing get you out? It’s launching on September 21st. Here’s the latest trailer:There’s…
- Update Notes for Patch 3 - 7 September 2024
Fix for softlock that can occur when clicking super fast in the shop collection area You can now bind grab / drop separately rather than it being a combined input. Grab and Drop tutorial in Meat level now is 2 different steps Completing the True Ending now records your best time for that level. Fixed Basketball and Stability Orb having incorrect hover strings. Towed items will no longer drop and become disconnected while using the Shop. Crystal Skull now displayed on main menu when completed for each level. - Update Notes for Patch 2 - 23 August 2024
Switch controller support. New control system for Deep Dive 2. It is MUCH easier to control now! 32:9 ultra widescreen support. Fix for submarine and tunnel interaction. Fix for multitasking / task switching crashing the game. Let me know if you see any visual artifacts from this change, as it required vSync when on Mac to be turned off. Maximum depth line now does not show if you have the Iron Lung perk. Can speed up opening sequence by holding shift (or whatever you have sprint mapped to on your controller). Fix for grab/drop marker appearing incorrectly when using a terminal, in the submarine and more. Found and fixed some inconsistent collision rules on the bombs. In particular, it makes dislodging loot from walls, and chain reaction / diver damage much more consistent and visually accurate! Can no longer click on the buttons on Expedition Over screen before they have appeared. Fixe…
- Go on roguelike dives to keep evil gods asleep in Feed the Deep - 19 August 2024
new roguelike invites you to do some terrifying and claustrophobic diving in caves beneath the sea, which is either the least appealing thing you've ever heard of or an exciting premise for a spooky game with probably very little space in between. In Feed the Deep you go diving beneath the waves to find resources that you use to keep the cosmic horrors slumbering beneath the world doing just that: Slumbering. As opposed to rising from the depths and devouring mankind and all that... Read more.
- Update Notes for Patch 1 - 19 August 2024
Confirmation warning when you press Restart in the pause menu. Fix to credits screen showing incorrectly. No longer consume any sprint when not moving. New layout for settings menu. New option in settings menu to disable breathing sounds. Fix to towed items not having weight when reloading from save file. Could also cause visual bugs and a potential crash when entering or exiting a tunnel in this state. Fix to Extra Sharp visual setting not toggling anti-aliasing correctly in some cases. Potential fix to intermittent failure to boot graphics on start up. Minor localisation fix in french translation. Fix to Feed the Beat minigame when entering and exiting the area. Big thank you to everyone who has been reporting bugs, it is super helpful! - Luke

Hi everyone, Luke here! And I’m writing the post I’ve been waiting to make for months: Feed the Deep is officially out now! It’s out for PC and Mac, and I can’t wait to hear about all of your thoughts on the game and look forward to seeing tweets, Let’s Plays, streams, etc. It’s been a challenge to make all of this (mostly) on my own, but it’s been an incredible experience and it feels amazing to have something that I can fully call mine. I’ve been living a dream, and now it’ll continue by putting the game in your hands. :) I can’t wait to hear what you all think! Thanks so much for the support and I really hope you enjoy Feed the Deep! Luke

- The designer of mobile hits Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride is making a deep-sea Lovecraftian horror game - 11 July 2024
In the early 2010s, Luke Muscat was team lead on two massive mobile games for Halfbrick Studios—the WarioWare microgame turned macrohit Fruit Ninja, and endless runner Jetpack Joyride. A decade later he's gone solo, and is making an indie game for PC that looks like a cross between Dave the Diver and Dome Keeper ... Read more.

- 🐙 Chat and Playthrough with the Developer! 🤿 - 12 June 2024
Join me, Luke Muscat, as I play through Feed the Deep and chat about the game! I'll probably be playing the full version rather than the demo, so you can get a sneak peek at the full experience, as well as some stuff which is likely either not completed or bugged. It will be fun!
- Demo Patch! - 11 June 2024
Thanks to everyone for all the amazing feedback and detailed bug reports so far! I haven't managed to get everything in, but this patch should address a bunch of issues and bring some neat new things to mess around with. New shop item: Mystery chest (replaces the Perk Sphere) Heaps of new things that you can possibly find in the Mystery chest. Fixed infinite air exploit. Fixed multiple speed lines stopping the player from getting their speed bonus. New gem loot that can be sometime found. Chests now only require one tow line instead of two. Nerfed the silt blindness a TINY BIT to make it less punishing. New enemy scream sound that is still scary but not quite as “nails on a chalkboard”. Fixed water background tiling issue. Emergency teleport now has a screen effect and sound. Fixed being able to click on items while reading a journal. Fixed buttons being able to be shrunk into oblivion…
