- Rayman stars in a weird NFT game vaguely inspired by the coolest Far Cry DLC that Ubisoft's just quietly plopped out, because of course he does - 20 December 2024
Ubisoft's done it again. Here's a new weird NFT game that's been released with close to zero fanfare by the publisher. This one's got Rayman in it, and is based on a thing that's inspired by Far Cry 3's fun Blood Dragon expansion , if you can believe that. Read more
- Far Cry PEGI rating might be signalling the arrival of a new spin-off of a spin-off - 21 January 2024
A recent rating from European ratings board PEGI seems to suggest a new Far Cry game is on the way. As spotted by GameRant , a listing for a game titled Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior recently appeared on PEGI's website, though the page has since been taken down. For some context, if this is real, it would technically be a spin-off of a spin-off of a spin-off; Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is a Netflix animated series that released last year, which was a spin-off animated series based on Blood Dragon, which itself is a spin-off of Far Cry 3. Bit of a six degrees of separation situation, but with spin-offs here. According to the listing, the game is planned for PC, and gameplay apparently sees players taking part in a "laser 'deathmatch'" where they have to compete to eliminate the most opponents. The game is also rated a 12, describing "moderate violence in which human-like ch…

- If you liked the Castlevania Netflix series, you’re going to love Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix - 12 June 2023
Remember back in 2019 when it was revealed that Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon would get its own animated series ? Well, those watching Ubisoft Forward today are eating good, because we finally just received a trailer for Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix , and it arrives during fall this year. We already knew we were in for a treat with Adi Shankar on board as executive producer. While he tweeted in 2021 about being allowed to create “a new Universe for them that acts as a 'Blood Dragon remix' of all Ubisoft properties,” today, he took to the stage to personally reveal the new trailer. Adi Shankar, for those who don’t know, is the producer of the Castlevania Netflix series. So, if you’re a fan of that, you’ll no doubt love Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. It’ll also be a treat for Ubisoft fans, with the trailer showing off plenty of easter eggs to keep our eyes peele…

- Far Cry 6's season pass will let you play as old series villains - 12 June 2021
Ubisoft really like their Far Cry villains. At this evening's Ubisoft Foward , we got another cutscene featuring the big bad of Far Cry 6 , Castillo, played by Giancarlo Esposito. - Every video game show from Netflix's Geeked Week stream - 11 June 2021
Netflix are hot for video games lately, with their number of animated and live-action adaptations now into double digits. Their E3 stream today brought news of even more, including announcements of a Far Cry: Blood Dragon cartoon and casting for their live-action Resident Evil. It has Lance Reddick! But by and large, their stream was a weird shrug with so little information that all they had on one show was a logo. But hey, here's what they had on Cuphead, Castlevania, Splinter Cell, League Of Legends, and others. Read more
- Splinter Cell, Far Cry, and Blood Dragon animated series coming to Netflix - 11 June 2021
Netflix's apparent mission to give every single video game in the universe the TV show treatment is continuing with three newly announced animated adaptations of Ubisoft properties: Splinter Cell, Far Cry, and unforgettable Far Cry 3 expansion, Blood Dragon. A Splinter Cell animated adaptation was first rumoured last July , but Ubisoft and Netflix have now made the show official. It'll follows the adventures of iconic video game series protagonist Sam Fisher after he's recruited to work for the NSA's mysterious Echelon Division. Expect black ops missions, stealth, and military tactics in a series that's being written by John Wick scribe Derek Kolstad. That's pretty much all Netflix has shared right now, other than this appropriately shadowy glimpse of Sam as he'll appear in the show: Read more
- Blood Dragons are back for Far Cry 5's Living Dead Zombies DLC - 19 August 2018
Far Cry 5's next DLC offering - Dead Living Zombies - will release on 28th August 2018, and from a split-second tease near the end of its latest trailer, it seems Far Cry's fan-favourite Blood Dragons are making a comeback. The latest DLC content promises a zombified version of Romeo and Juliet, where Romeo is - for reasons left unexplained - a Frankenstein's monster-esque patchwork of other B-movie creatures, including what appears to be a werewolf, a vampire, a mummy, and bits of Frankenstein's mutilated buddy, too (which makes it a Frankenstein monster of Frankenstein's monster, right? I think?) Chuck in a little Bridges of Madison County and that's all I thought Dead Living Zombies was... right until I got to the end of the teaser (thanks, PCGN ). While the trailer focuses chiefly on a fairly predictable bevvy of undead denizens, in the dying seconds there's a shot of a Blood Dragon…
