- Big Demo Update! – Version 0.23 - 23 May 2026
Demo Update – Version 0.23Hey gamers, hope you can try the new version of my demo.v0.23 is here with one of the biggest gameplay changes so far. After several months of playtesting feedback, I went back and completely refactored and revamped how the combat system works underneath. Battles now use a new card based combat system where each turn adds a new random card to your hand. You’ll now have access to different types of attacks, defense cards, skills, alongside the previous item system already in the game. The goal with this change is to make combat feel more dynamic and unpredictable while still giving the player control over the outcome of battles. This update also includes a couple quality of life improvements and bug fixes across the demo. The game is finally starting to feel closer to the version I originally had in mind, and all the feedback from players has genuinely helped sha…

Fighting is now more skill-based, meaning no more spamming your way to victory. You'll actually have to earn it with timed based mechanics. More content should be available on the next update, have been a bit busy with marketing the demo and localizing it so Spanish.I've also added full Latin American Spanish localization. Know someone who'd enjoy the game? Now's a great time to share it.GameplayCombatAdded action commands to attacks to charge your shot. - The demo is out for Next Fest! - 23 February 2026
Hi everyone, the game demo is live as part of Next Fest! Windows players can jump straight in, I've added a DirectX11 version for legacy compatibility so give it a go and let me know how it runs if you're on a lower end system. Just keep in mind that Lumen should be turned off in the options for that version to get the best performance, you can also tweak the Resolution Scale in the game options to find the sweet spot for your system, and feel free to push it higher since the pixel art and low poly style means it won't hit the visual quality as hard. For Steam Deck players, the build has been updated and is now running correctly, so if you were having issues before give it another shot, it should be good to go now!Steam Deck players can also play it, you'll just need to enable Proton in the game properties first. If you are on Steam Deck or Linux and the game does not show Windows launc…

- Building Spaceman Memories for the Steam Deck - 23 November 2024
Hey everyone, A few months ago, I finally got my hands on a Steam Deck. From the start, I knew I wanted to use it as a dev kit for Spaceman Memories, but it’s also been a blast to play on. There’s something special about testing a game you’ve been pouring your heart into on such a unique device—and yes, sneaking in some gaming sessions in between tests has definitely happened. Testing the Game Right now, Spaceman Memories runs on the Steam Deck as a Windows build using DirectX 11. Thanks to Proton, it works really well, but I’m always on the lookout for ways to improve the experience. Running the game on the Deck has given me a better perspective on things like performance, controls, and UI—elements that feel different when you’re playing on a handheld. Aiming for Native Linux While the Windows build works fine, I want to go further. My goal is to release Spaceman Memories as a native L…

- Spaceman Memories in Japan! - 28 May 2023
NerdyPunkDev here and I've got exciting news. Spaceman Memories was recently featured on Japanese gaming media. As an indie game developer from Central America this is extremely cool. Both articles were about the launch of the Steam page and the availability for wishlists of the game. I'm very happy as the game is based on Japanese culture and it's really cool that it is getting its own bit of recognition around there, so THANKS JAPAN!
