• Update 1.6 More settings - 25 June 2023

  Hi, Since the launch, the settings in Darksy's Adventure have been very limited. You could change some really basic settings but that was about it. Most of the settings present didn't even effect performance that much. A great example of that is texture quality. Textures are stored in vram, these days however vram sizes are big and the likelihood of your running out of vram is small. The only setting that really did have any impact were shadows and you could only enable or disable them which led to 2 choices: bad looking game or bad fps. This update changes all of that. Added resolution settings. You can select among 3 resolutions: 720p, 1080p and 4K I deem this setting to be the most important as it effects FPS in the most impactful way.   Hi! It's been a while since the last update hasn't it? During that time I've been collecting feedback. So let's get into the changes! Boss 4 Since the launch of the game, boss 4 has been confusing for many players. Players have reported that they don't know how to beat the boss. The boss is now slower when at max health. Increased the size of the button's hitbox. When the boss has full health there are arrows pointing at the button. Boss 6 When the boss has full health there are arrows pointing at him to show the player that they have to pounce into him. • Update 1.3: Experimental controller support and boss 1 improvements - 6 April 2023

  Hi, Since last update I have received new feedback regarding the game. Here is a list of changes: Boss 1 Players have said that the boss fight doesn't make it obvious what they're supposed to do. This issue popped up during development too. I tried to fix it with a cutscene but it's now clear that cutscene isn't enough. Before I get into the changes I'd like to discuss how the boss worked. Looking back at it I do admit that these changes should have been done sooner. General Foxin had a 6 second timer. This timer would tick down if the player were close enough, if they weren't he would follow them. If the timer reached 0 zero, a rocket would get fired. This led to strange situations where sometimes the player would have to sit there for 6. This must have led some players into believing that they were doing something wrong. • Update 1.2: Quality Of Life - 5 April 2023

  Hello, This update focuses mainly on communicating things to the player best. UI Changes The game didn't make it clear what the symbols below the level name on the level select screen meant. To fix this issue I've added a question mark button next to them that tells you what they mean. Selecting a difficulty, you would get told that you couldn't complete the game 100%. This was a bit misleading because what it actually meant was that you can't reach a completion score of 100%. Having known that description I've just mention would still confuse people, I instead chose to tell to the a much more important piece of information. The text now tells the player that any atoms they collect will not be saved. Playing on easy difficulty, the game now shows you on the level end screen that no collected atoms will be saved.   Hello, This is Honza 55 44 speaking, while you are eagerly waiting to join Darksy on his adventure I'd like to talk to you more in-depth about the game itself and what you can expect in the game and post launch. Post launch support After the game comes out I will be closely monitoring the feedback the game receives and make changes based on it. Most of the post launch updates will only include bug fixes and slight tweaks. Please do not expect any content updates right after launch. I am considering making content updates in the future such as new levels or even things like Christmas updates that make everything snowy and may turn the regular fox soldiers into artic foxes! The moveset Darksy's Adventure is a platformer which you may have figured out. During development a lot of thought went into Darksy's moveset.
