• Dev Update: New artstyle and progress! - 30 July 2023

  Hello! There's a lot of reworks going on behind the scenes, so I wanted to share a bit of what's next in Kronian Titans! First of all, I've finally been able to iterate on the rendering algorithm! There are still improvements to be made, but this is a lot closer to the final artstyle. Take a look! I'm still working on models and effects, here's another example with pilot cut ins for supers and the like: Gameplay Changes I've also iterated on the boost mechanic, which now feels like it finally works the way I wanted it to. To give a quick overview: Tapping the D button will make you do an Impulse, which is a small quick movement you can then cancel into one of your attacks. Very good for repositioning and maneuvering, but you can't block. Holding the D button will instead give you a Boost, which is more committal but goes faster. This gives you more distance but also locks you in a state…
