• Game is out! - 18 July 2024

  Hello everybody! I transitioned to full release! I felt like the game content-wise anyway was worthy of it. I would like to thank the few people who helped me improve the game, you know who you guys are and I really appreciate it! Just because it's now fully released doesn't mean that I'm not going to touch it anymore. I have to fix bugs if there are any reports and if I do get enough sales, I would like to localize the game in several other languages cause that's just something that is nice to have. I'm ready whatever comes my way! No sales, a couple, or a lot! I'm content that I managed to get this far. I've learned a lot by making this game and there's a lot I could apply in the next one! • Small Update - 13 July 2024

  Here's a small update for the auto battler and tower defense game modes! Auto Battler Added a match won counter for units. Can now right click units to open unit panel. Added new quests in the teleport bulletin board. (requires new game to refill) Added Greedy Cat Effigy, an NPC that can turn monsters into gold depending on matches won and current level of the monster. (requires new game to spawn this NPC) Can now view innate abilities and immunities when inspecting a unit. (slimes splitting and etc...) Now indicates whether unit can move when inspecting it. Tower Defense Now shows a hoverable popup of the selected unit when choosing a reward. Moving to outposts now closes the overworld automatically. Removed mushrooms as a basic reward. Divine Form now lasts longer. Divine Form now provides bonus cast range. Divine Form improved stats. Now auto picks up loot. Removed pick up all loot c…

  Synopsis You play as Yohanne who wields the light and who is on a mission to defeat Dark Incarnate. Crusade through Grandura, fight corrupted armies and reach the Unholy Sanctum where the evil foe resides. Gameplay You are an active unit in the battlefield, you can move, use abilities and items, place units, withdraw units and observe the state of the map all while the stopping the enemy. Maps get harder and more hectic as you progress, requiring more focus, speed and precision. The Overworld Unlock maps as you go and choose your path to the Unholy Sanctum. If you wish, you can always go back to maps you haven't cleared yet and take a different route to discover more stuff. Progression When you clear a map you get experience and gold, If clearing for the first time, you get to choose an item and unit reward and unlock connecting maps if there are any. • Tower Defense Progress Update - 3 April 2024

  Hello everybody! Just letting you guys know that the game is still being worked on and not abandoned or anything like that. Immediately after the last update, I started working on the tower defense game mode and I am seeing the end of it. I'm going to do another post in the near future with a playable build with the tower defense in it and also explaining in detail the mechanics of this game mode. • Books of Grandura - 22 January 2024

  Hello everybody! I haven't posted an update in a while well because I was working on a big update! First of all the game is no longer called Morphus, it is now called Books of Grandura. I have updated the store page with the new game name and new assets but the name Morphus still appears in other places and I don't know what to do about that, but that's not important! I did not expect a really big change myself but I decided to stick with it. So Books of Grandura will have three game modes, a traditional roguelike(Morphus), an auto battler and a tower defense. So here is the summary of the update: The Book of Murak(Available Now) An auto battler set in the desert city of Suksamad. Build your team of monsters, choose which stat and ability to upgrade as they level and equip them items found in the rich market of the city. • December Update - 5 December 2023

  Hello! I managed to get some stuff done right after the Sporeland update. Here is the summary : Rusty Shovel Rusty Shovel can now be crafted and has been reworked. Depending on the area, Rusty Shovel can dig up various random items. New Forageables Added Truffle, Hard Nut and Ghost Fungus. Basic Recipes Hidden before, the Crafting Furnace now has a visible list of basic items you can craft. I plan to add more items but for now you have these. Reworked Affinity System Overview of the rework. NPCs now : Avoid entities that they have low affinity with. Forbid entities they have low affinity with from entering the shop(if NPC is a shopkeeper). Look for a guard to report to(theft or murder). Initiate battle with the player if affinity is low. Keep track of their affinity with units per appearance. So different entities, as long as they look the same will have the same affinity with a NPC. Th…

• Sporeland - 23 November 2023

  Sporeland Hello! I was working on an update! Various bug fixes, reworked how special projectiles move and added a new mushroom themed area with new monsters, abilities and objects. Here's how it looks. New monsters. New game objects as well. Innate Abilities Added innate abilities. These are abilities that trigger when attacked, on death or every turn. Some of these abilities can only be found on a specific unit. Slimes splitting into smaller slimes when killed is a good example of an on death innate ability. With the addition of innate abilities that happen every turn, projectiles that stop moving until the floor's turn now also move at the start of each battling unit's turn.   Hello there! I was working on an update for about a month and half. Here's what I worked on. Keep in mind that these updates are subject to change and are not final. Town NPCS Aside from the shop owners, the town also now has townsfolk. These npcs may have special dialogue when you interact with them. They may give you gold, items, information, lore and etc. Some may also have unique abilities! Out-of-Town NPCS There are also special npcs that you encounter as you progress through the world. These npcs are random. They may give quests, they may sell items, depending on your luck they may be a fairy, a witch or a scammer in disguise and etc. An example of a special npc that challenges you to a riddle match.
