• Addressing the Multiplayer - 5 August 2024

  so uh. i managed to do the main part of the multiplayer so the only thing left is to make something for the players to do while avoiding the entity. i've never been so frustrated on making my first actual multiplayer mode since (i genuinely suck) i had constant issues with client and server. and now that everything is settled i have something to release that everyone can enjoy with their friends! until more updates come the experience isnt long unfortunately. hey on the flipside it'd be cool to see people speedrun with their friend but as of right now im aiming to make the experience smooth for the multiplayer part. see you guys in a few days ;3

• Facility Floor 2 info - 8 July 2024

  Hello, it's been a while. Work out of this game got me slowing down the progress but now im currently working on floor 2 and decided i'll make all the floors in one level even if it destroys my pc because i'll do my optimisation later on. this is getting closer than i thought too. this is pretty much the last level in the entire game and be sure when it comes out you look for more info about this place since it'll be scattered around the facility. there's another one you guys can look before i go to the unlit parts of this floor. this took me a few minutes to set up but trust me both floor 1 and 2 need some work and do some "magic" to make the progression work stealth is key to this level (even if you cant crouch lmao) anyway here's the unlit screenshots

• It's been a while. - 15 April 2024

  hello everyone. im sorry for not posting an update on the game. life's gotten over me so i had to focus on that aspect for a bit, but im here now and i'll tell you the new update coming out. multiplayer will be released in later updates (more likely on the full release of the game) right now im working on "sub-levels" basically extending the first part a bit so that i can focus on a save and load feature on a newer update (not the one that is currently going to be dropped) 2 sub levels will be added and later there will be more to make a complete backrooms experience. (also a plans for a mall level soon so be on the lookout as well as a new entity coming within the game alongside the mall level)

  im once again back to working on this game becauseee i added region (basically showing your region) Voice Chat will be added Player Count will be added Then ALL OF THIS is done i'll release the update alongside finishing up some touches to the AI and also the floor 1 level since it's kinda not that far off from completion. OG Secret backrooms will morph into a newer (imma just say this, a remake of the original secret backrooms) so whoever owns the original secret backrooms will have the new one even if it's priced at 3 bucks once again and that will come out in 2024!

• Info of 0.1.1 Early Access - 20 December 2023

  so since i released the early access for this game and this update is gonna be quite big i'll tell you guys a few things: - Part 2 (floor 1) will be available - CO-OP will be available - bug fixes or issues will be adressed - Entities will be available (cause umm it's getting kinda lonely) i'd like to mention that it is my problem for not releasing a rather decent looking game but it's at the cost of being an early access game and will not reflect the final product. Co-op is a way to put your friends into the facility to grab clues, avoid guards, entities and advance further into the game's massive facility. Most of the game's playtime revolves around the facility but that doesnt mean in the future there wont be any new levels. as the game evolves into a greater and playable state i have to say any feedback is appreciated as long as it's reasonable and constructive.

  o lawd it comin. oh by the way the game will split between 2 parts: Part 1-Backrooms side Gameplay Part 2- Escaping the Facility Mid-Part 2 you'll have to avoid the entities but that's subject to change I Could just drop the early access part 1 just for the sake of it but there's a bit of adjustment needed to do if i'll drop part 1. mainly the models and second the chase sequence (you'll find out when the early access releases)

  delayed. AAAA- not that surprising. the game was also in a lil stop but other than that i ran some tests of my own and it's working just fine. the only thing is umm. i wont release it this week or NEXT week. why? life stuff. personal stuff.. • Early Access Announcement! - 14 September 2023

  So to everyone's surprise (or not idk) I have decided to announce that the Early access version will drop within this week (or next week depending on the amount of issues the game has before releasing it) the first early access version will only include the first part of the game and eventually lead to the second part which is a big facility and in there you gotta avoid enemies while finding ways to escape. the first part of the game at this point consists of 7 main levels including the first 2 prologue levels. also in the near future i'll develop some sort of a multiplayer map for everyone to enjoy now that i have the needed resources to do so. but for now you guys will only have 7 levels (+2 prologue levels which in total is 9 so uhh yee have fun) Why early access you ask? obviously the reason for me to put it early access is to let YOU guys have a little look at the game and provide…

• Release date news #1 - 3 June 2023

  Hello everyone! Since the game is still in development and I want to give a little more specific releases im just straight up saying late 2023 Secret backrooms 2 alongside the old backrooms coming back before the sequel releases! Now to get some clarifications away the first one will be an update that gets the game an entire overhaul from UI to movement and levels. The beginning levels are quite different from the main one much like the sequel which the two games will intertwine together. Im aiming a release for the old game to get a mid summer to September release!. • Devlog 1 - 22 May 2023

  So after a couple of days doing level 5 I decided to move on to something much enjoyable which is making a hotel level. Honestly this type of environment will be quite tough to pull off especially since there’s gonna be something lurking around the hallways but fear not you can hop into a room to avoid them But also keep an eye for any minor details on the level itself or a diary of someone who has been there before you. Oh and for once the AI is better than the first one and it actually has a few different entity models so take that lol. Anyways im looking forward to see how the 6th level will evolve into OH and there will be a Level 6 Gameplay video so you know shits going down

• Current progress - 17 May 2023

  As of now the game is in a state where i could drop a first part early access, meaning the first half of the game available for everyone to play. A few adjustments and a few levels to make (currently its on level 5 out of the 8 or 9 levels for the first half of the game) I’ll do my best to make it unique with the puzzles even if it’s just a simple code puzzle. I will also let everyone tell me their opinions on the first half when it drops! As of now the game should be released when needed. As im constantly improving my gameplay skills and AI. Already the AI is perfect for the game. I can change the speed, hearing range and sight range. All those depend on each entity and maybe some could be a little persistent.
