- Release 1.0! - 5 September 2025
Next Wednesday (9/10), Monkey Math will be leaving Early Access behind and releasing version 1.0! Surely everyone will be done with Silksong and will be looking for a new game. There's a lot of polishing and bug fixing going into this update, I had some plans for some other mini-games but that can be post 1.0, I don't want to be a perpetual EA game. Build 0.8.0 is out and the last story level 'Sewer' has been added. In that world you'll encounter a new game mode, I like to call Math Blaster because it's inspired by the old DOS game where you have to shoot correct math problems in space. This mode is also available to play in the Extras menu. New Classic Level 'Lights Out' Classic Mode Co-op Classic Mode Items Bomb - Remove all the current numbers on the level and spawn new ones Swap - Player 1 and Player 2 swap current calculations Gravity - Change the gravity of the other player for 10 seconds Calculate - Automatically solve the current number Erase - Erase the other players current calculation Question - Create new target number Laser - Create laser beam that spans the level for 10 seconds Fixes Fixed issue on Factory where clearing your calculation wouldn't actually clear the underlying value. At one point I thought I'd save some more content and make the push to 1.0 but realized I'd rather just keep putting out incremental builds so here's a preview for what's to come with 0.7.0! Putting the finishing touches and testing the Online update. If all goes well I'm hoping to get this out sometime next week or early Nov. Multiplayer is a simple P2P connection through Steamworks so a Steam connection is required and inviting someone else will be done through the Steam Friends menu. After this update I'm looking to add some more variations to the standard classic mode and what the road to the 1.0 release looks like.
