• Isop0dyssey 1.2 Patch Notes + content farm & contest news - 12 March 2024

  Hello! Patch 1.2 fixes the following: ending cutscene now has a prompt to skip the "unstuck" button no longer clips into the settings UI posters in the factory are now reading-friendly & no longer compressed into sub-atomic particles main menu cursor now works properly. (no need to restart the game anymore) that is all regarding the patch, but we have some other news: New material will be added to our content farm on YouTube very soon about the residents of Abyss City. • hotfix - 7 March 2024

  this hotfix is mostly addressed to fix the issues encountered at the upper side district. (thank you bobtea on discord for reporting them!) -player isopods will now be grounded instead of floating near Seliman Le Doux and Geracioti -Geracioti's dialogue collision box is now much easier to interact with. They are now also solid matter -a small house on the floor is no longer purple and has textures (we fixed this like 4 times but it keeps coming back. the house wants to be purple) -Texture compression has been tweaked. a little better performance (question mark) we are also investigating the other issues we found and that you have brought. We will continue with weekly patches and hotfixes as needed :3 Have a nice day!

  hey everyone! First of all, thank you for playing Isop0dyssey! It's always magical to talk to you about your experiences exploring Abyss City & see gameplays (and even speedruns!) on YouTube. isop0dyssey v1.1 fixes some bugs such as UI scaling issues, bad terrain geometry, trigger collision problems & quality of life improvements such as an "unstuck" button that you can find in the pause menu in case you get stuck somewhere or would like to be teleported to the nearest spawn point. Achievements now fully work, and you now will have an easier time hunting down all the isopods to talk to through little markings on the minimap, as well as a... pirate map? on our Discord?!!? Now everyone can “Get Back To Work” amongst other things. Don't forget to join our Discord Server to hang out with us & fellow isopod enjoyers!   Hello there, fellow crustaceans! I am Bee, one of the artists working on Isop0dyssey. Today, I'm taking over the announcements from Maaruska. I have some exciting stuff on my checklist! After many months of delays, we are finally starting to close the curtains on Isop0dyssey's production: the doors to the detrivore power fantasy open by the end of this month! With that, we are adjusting all sorts of things in the game, adding final touches, and crafting all sorts of extra materials. We don't yet know what you guys will get to see, but we are hopeful that you will enjoy this little experience that we have assembled. It sure has been and is a ride! • isop0dyssey: 12/01/24 devlog - the boss battle that is the racing soundtrack - 12 January 2024

  Hello again! This is the first devlog of 2024. The factory line here has been chugging ever forward, and today I come to talk (and rant!) a bit about the sound design & some seaweed. Firstly, the sound. This project has the most fun and most infuriating sound design challenges that I've had the pleasure to experience so far. It was not planned to be this way, but together with Likop we ended up using mostly self-recorded trash (staying true to Abyss City's values) like heavily processed tea slurping for isopod dialogue & old laptop fans for the sweeping hums of the soundtrack. Whenever I start bumping a wall, reminding myself that we are supposed to have fun making games has helped me find fun solutions. This method has worked for most(!) of the sound design tasks where I could wrap up many things in the first or second try... but there is one track in particular that has defeated us ma…
