Hello, dear players — both new and old. As many of you know, Tits and Shadows ended quite a long time ago. Yes, I do have plans for a sequel, but before continuing down that path, I wanted to experiment with different kinds of games and work with a development engine that offered me more freedom: Godot.Over the past couple of days, I received notifications that people are still playing and discovering this adventure I made so long ago. Honestly, that filled me with emotion.I must admit, even though I had so many ideas for expanding the game, I eventually reached a point where I felt trapped — as if I’d need to rebuild the whole game from scratch to make those ideas possible. Thank you to all those who have played Tits and Shadows. Before getting sentimental, I would like to share the patch notes with you: THE FAST TRAVEL HAS DIED! Well, almost. Previously, the golden statues allowed for quick travel between them from the beginning of the game. Now, it will be necessary to first activate all 4 statues to be able to do this. Why has this decision been made? In this patch, when a new main or secondary character joins your group, they will automatically be adjusted to Hero's level to prevent hours of experience farming and potentially not wanting to use a character just because you have others at a higher level. But this accelerates the game too much, so I have removed fast travel until later in the game so that the player can familiarize themselves with the map, which is designed to have shortcuts in every corner. Here's a brief overview: Almost all NPCs in the Putana Castle now have names and unique designs. A new NPC has been introduced, allowing you to increase the experience of characters in your team for a cost of 5 Magmatic Crystals. This content is accessible only towards the end of the game. Weapon abilities have undergone significant changes, with their quantity reduced to just four. New mechanics have been added to the Putana Castle to encourage exploration. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Minerva has undergone a major character redesign. Tits and Shadows: Combat Evolved This update marks a turning point in the evolution of turn-based combat in Tits and Shadows. I am pleased to announce that we have balanced the turn distribution and made adjustments to ability cooldowns. Look forward to more items that will empower your companions in future updates! Gloves have undergone changes and now offer various benefits, some of which will only unlock as you progress in the game. To compensate for channeling time, G and EX abilities now inflict more damage. A significant change is the revision of the counterattack system to prevent the "Scope not found" error. Tits and Shadows: Enhanced Combat Update This update is crucial! I'm pleased to share that we've made significant changes to the entire turn-based combat system. Now, to use powerful abilities, it's necessary to channel them, which will require a full turn. Both players and enemies will be subject to this limitation. Abilities like Swiftness, Delay, and Interruption now function within our Active Time Battle (ATB) combat system. For existing players, if your character has reached level 10, you'll be able to learn the "Channel" ability, which will grant you access to this enhancement. However, if you haven't reached level 10 yet, don't worry and continue your journey. For new players, the ability will be learned automatically. What does this mean for those playing using ATB? Small Update: Closed Doors This update has been released unexpectedly to fix previous errors that were causing issues with mining in an underground area. This includes an additional update that was scheduled for next week, in which the switches of many doors have been changed and their operation to improve performance a bit more. Some doors in caves and in the swamp will be closed again. Battles with creatures like wolves, bats, eagles, and jaguars became annoyingly simple. To completely change the dynamics of facing these enemies, the game's beasts have shifted their approach to battle. Now, these creatures specialize in inducing status effects in the player's group.
