• Bug Fixes! - 30 May 2024

  Since the last Eldritchvania update we've been reading feedback and watching game play videos; which lead us to witnessing and fixing more bugs. As always thanks to all of you for sharing your thoughts and reporting any problems you've found. While Eldritchvania is complete, your help is going a long way to maintaining it and ensuring its in the best possible state going forward. Here's the full list of squashed bugs in this update: - Casting a spell while going through a room transition no longer stops the spell from working until the save is reloaded. - Rain now falls all the way onto the boat instead of hitting it's ghostly aura. - Thanks @Gooblet - Rain can now splash on the memorial grave stone. • Faster saves! - 20 April 2024

  Hi all! We've been enjoying watching videos and streams of people playing and it came to our attention that Eldritchvania's save/load times increase dramatically as you get deeper into the game and more information is saved. We don't like it, you don't like it, so we've done something about it. We've also fixed the sprint spell slowing you down bellow the normal walk speed after use! • The Accessibility Update - 4 March 2024

  We're back with another update to Eldritchvania! The focus here was accessibility, namely the flashing effects included throughout the game. We've added the option to turn off flashing effects! Disabling flashing effects does as it states and disables the flashing of various sanity effects in the game. The effects are still there; they just don't flash rapidly anymore. It's still advised to take care if you're photosensitive but this should help a lot to make the game playable for more people. We've also patched a number of bugs and introduced some new music. • The Control Update - 16 February 2024

  Hi all! Another update for Eldritchvania is here and this time its less about bugs and more about the controls. We've been reading all your reviews and we've seen both good and bad reviews mentioning frustrations with the lack of jump control and the slow-ish walking speed. As such we've decided to address both in a way that doesn't require us to re-design the entire game. You now have way more jump control in Eldritchvania! You can now change your jump direction mid air on the way up and down; whereas before you could only change momentum while falling. We've also increased the amount of control you have. This makes some of the more finicky jumps easier and less frustrating to achieve. In addition; we've also made it easier to time jump + move inputs to get a full speed jump from a stand still position.   Hi all! A huge thanks to everyone who has played and left feedback for Eldritchvania so far! Its been amazing seeing everyone's reactions and as you can see from this update we're getting to work resolving bugs that have been discovered and tending to some of the suggestions we've received. • Eldritchvania has a release date! - 25 January 2024

  Its finally time to announce a release date! Eldritchvania will be available here on Steam, Game Jolt and Itch.io at 12am(AEDT) on the 10th of February! We'd like to give a quick thank you to the followers who've supported us over the many years of development. We can't wait to see you play and hear what you think of our work! • We're getting close! - 4 December 2023

While we still can't give an exact release date, we're closer than ever and hoping for a release early 2024. • This week we added Semblance feedback - 30 July 2023

  This week we added some feedback to make it more obvious why you can't cast spells when you're out of Semblance. Previously during play-testing people have been having a hard time figuring out why their spell cast failed, forgetting about Semblance, which is required to cast spells. We're hoping this new audio/visual feedback makes it a lot more obvious and dispels some of that confusion. The polish work never ends! • Devlog - NPC Voices - 3 June 2023

  Greetings! As we continue to polish and prepare Eldritchvania for launch, we've added some cool new features. In cutscenes, you will now be able to hear some beautiful "voice acting". It really makes them come alive a bit more, don't you think? Look forward to more updates as we go through the last stretches of development!
