It should work straight out of the box, but in case it doesn't - toss the save files and try again! Specifically the saveSteamFile.save - the others is not necessary to toss.

We've made some quality-of-life improvements to our beloved game, Champy the Useless Vampire, and fixed a few issues along the way. We're committed to keeping this little gem undead for a long time, continuing to refine and improve it. If you spot anything that isn't working as intended, let us know in the forums! While we can't fix everything, we always give it our best shot—and most of the time, the issues get resolved. Enjoy! Changelog: Fixes The game got stuck when pushing the inventory button in certain closeups and zoom-in puzzles. The Mystery of Doomsday Valley pre-launch page is now LIVE! Since Champy the Useless Vampire launched we have been working on new ideas for a mystery game. We are now happy to reveal the name, cover art and some of the characters. You can read more on the pre-launch Kickstarter page for Doomsday Valley. When the kickstarter launches there will also be a playable demo for the game! So make sure to stay connected by clicking the "Notify me on launch" and learn more about the game. We have listened to feedback and identified a couple of areas where we want to up our game (pun intended). Doomsday Valley will feature interesting characters who will have depth and personality and they will have a bigger role in the overarching narrative. - Achievement Unlocked! - 11 September 2024
We are introducing achievements! If you have craved a new playthrough of Champy the Useless Vampire, this is your moment! You will now be rewarded with an achievment when you investigate certain areas, solve puzzles on the first try and mostly just by playing the game. It is a quite linear narrative-driven puzzle game after all. So make yourself a nice cup of cocoa and help Champy fetch the Holy Grail one more time! - New languages: French, Portuguese and Polish! - 4 April 2024
We sent Champy on a trip around the world to find skilled translators who could help us bring this fang-tastic adventure game to an even greater audience. He quickly found three suitable candidates and after just a few days of constantly annoying them by sleeping in their wardrobe, leaving (s)teak-out bags everywhere and trying (and failing) to mind-control them, they all gave in and promised to help out. So to summarise his trip: no one died, Champy got a well-deserved break from the evil cultists, the game now has seven(!) supported languages and Zara got to see the Eiffel Tower, the Wieliczka salt mine and the Amazon rainforest. (She was not impressed) - We have also fixed some issues with the game and changed how the game saves data in order to make sure everything works as intended. Enjoy!
- One Month Anniversary - More Languages Soon - 15 March 2024
Champy has now been on Steam for one month. Time does, just like Champy, fly. In order for more players to be able to enjoy Champy the Useless Vampire in their preferred language, French, Polish and Portuguese languages will soon be added. So keep an eye out for our next update, it should be right around the corner. Thanks for all the feedback, reviews and wishlists we have received, it all helps making the game better and for more people to find it. We have also noticed a few words that players use to describe the game, for example whimsical and fast-paced. We absolutely love it! So if you feel in the mood for a whimsical fast-paced halloween-themed point-and-click adventure game, this game might be for you.
- First week on Steam - 23 February 2024
Greetings, adventurer! Champy the Useless Vampire has now been live for a week and what a week it has been. We have been bombarded with suggestions, reviews, pleas for translations, bugreports, screenshots and all kinds of press coverage. It has been...a lot. We are happy that so many has found this game and taken it out for a spin. It seems Champy has built up quite a fanbase already - we never hear a bad word about him. Everyone seems to just go along with all the nonsense he is up to and...enjoy it? Mostly we have been working behind the scenes, deep deep in the code of the game, barely glimpsing the sun. What lovecraftian horrors we found down there we will not speak of, but it will take time before our programmer is able to feel love again. But as with gardening, the only way to get things done is getting your hands dirty, and now things are better, brighter and more stable. And we…
- Improvements: adding items - 22 February 2024
We have improved how the game handles new inventory objects, making sure they are added correctly. This should result in a more reliable inventory. We have also improved the cleanup process and adjusted Champy's level of uselessness. He is now less useless than he was before, but still pretty useless (by popular demand).
- The german wig conundrum - 20 February 2024
We have had troubles with a very specific bug concerning the wig in the theater for a while. It seems it has been very specific indeed, as it only shows up in the german translation and for a long time passed under the radar of the more english-inclined developers. This update should put a nail in that particular coffin for now.

Improvements in the save system. There were reports of lost inventory objects still happening even though we though they were fixed in an earlier update before release. Hopefully this will correct those issues.
