• Update #6 - Customization Update! 🎁 - 22 December 2024

  Howdy! With this update (0.1.8) we add a much-requested feature: you can now play with mouse and keyboard, or a PlayStation controller! The whole UI now adapts dynamically (and beautifully, I might add!) to what you are using to play. ❤️ Another feedback we received is that it is sometimes hard to remember what your circuits do - for that reason, we introduced a new HUD mod, called “Inputs HUD”. You will find it in the default player inventory on a new game, and for returning players, it is also dropped by the first boss (Smelter Saw Mk-1), so no way to miss it. For our beloved returning players, this is a slightly smaller update than the previous one, but we really wanted to have it out before the holidays (🎅), so you can try it out while we focus on what’s coming next… … fully playable levels, upgrades, and more!! • Update #5 - Bigger Mods Update! - 31 October 2024

  Hello! With this update (0.1.7) we introduce larger, multi-slot mods to the game! The one you see moving in the gif below is the new Plasma Gun, reforged into Plasma Cannon. These big boys were in the plans from the start, glad to finally have them! Managing space in the Motherboard will be a bit harder from now, and optimal builds will require more tinkering... or risk-taking 😆 If you are coming back to the demo, a few new mods are waiting for you: you might want to familiarize yourself with the Permadeath Remover (the big 2x2 mod in the gif) or try out some of the powerful dual-stat mods. At the same time, it is a rather small update, so please don’t expect too much! Behind the scenes, we are working hard on the first fully playable level and the Forge system, which will be ready later on.   Hello hello! It’s been a while since the last update, and we’ve been hard at work! 🏗️ Last time we shared an artwork of our first boss and now - lo and behold - here it is in all its glory! They grow up so fast... 😭 This beauty, called Smelter Saw, is a demolition expert that combines short-range melee attacks with its claws, together with homing missiles and heat-based attacks to achieve total destruction. Was this the only thing we were working on? Oh, hell, no! 😂 Please take a look at the first iteration of the Motherboard! The Motherboard is our character creator system, stats system, and weapon customization system all in one. • Update #1 - Welcome to Armored Souls! - 20 August 2023

  Hello and welcome! We just published our Steam page and we wanted to give you some more info about what to expect from Armored Souls. We take inspiration from Soulslike games (including ofc Armored Core) and Roguelike games, and we are working hard to make a kickass game centered around building (literally) your character and clashing with mean bosses. Imagine Dark Souls’ variety of weapons and movesets combined with Nier Automata Plug-In Chips to make an incredibly flexible build system where you program your own attacks, decide what each of your controller buttons do, and stack effects upon effects to create devastating attacks… or use auto-fire mods that will take care of enemies while you run for your life!
