- Patch Notes | Demo 0.8.1 - 3 August 2026
Hello high rollers!I've been working away on two brand new game modes for the full release that have me really excited. With the closed playtest, I've also made some changes to how a Hand's score is calculated and wanted to pass that on to the demo. Read on below! Scoring ReworkI have removed "Points" from Hands, as it was confusing to have points on the hand as well as scoring points with the hand. Instead, Hands no longer have any Point value associated with them. Hands now score the following: Dice Pips x Mult x Crit. With this change, all values for Hands have been reworked to have slightly more Mult. Also, Hands now gain a small amount of Crit on leveling up. This makes scoring higher pip values more important, giving some much needed buffs to dice with more faces like D12 or D20.ChangesSmall changes to tutorial text to match scoring reworkAcoustic Guitar: Now gives +1 PIPSElectric…

- Two New Pins + Playtest End Date - 13 June 2026
Hello high rollers! The final update for this playtest is out! This update adds the final two pins. Wait, final two? Read about them below: 📍White Hole (legendary) - Odds for DICE and PINS are increased by 1 (1 in 3 becomes 2 in 3). 📍Black Hole (exotic) - Odds for DICE and PINS are decreased by 1 (1 in 3 becomes 0 in 3). My only advice for these is this: Don't get one of each. If you work the math out you'll understand why. Playtest AnnouncementWith this update, I've released all planned content for the current playtest. I will be winding down the playtest on June 21, so you will have until then to continue playing Diecast. I have LOTS more ideas and reworks planned, but I need to start preparing for the full release. Playtests will continue in the future, however they will become much more limited. What that means is that after June 21st I will be looking for around one or two dozen…

Read on below: Acoustic Guitar (common) +2 POINTS permanently for each even numbered die scored in HAND Electric Guitar (common) +1 MULT permanently for each odd numbered die scored in HANDUntil the next update, each of these pins will have a 1 in 3 chance of appearing when common items spawn, so they should be much easier to find and experiment with for a limited time.More news to share soon!Happy rolling, sofamire

- Demo Update 0.26.4.20.2 - 21 April 2026
Hey high rollers! Had a good weekend, and with it I found a few bugs (oops...) Also wanted to rework hands a bit with some new visuals/new leveling.BugsJunk dice could actually be scored. Got that fixed so now they can't again!Reworked tutorial translations to talk about gaining EXP when playing the first hand, because...HandsIncreased the EXP needed for a hand to level up. Now it takes 2 EXP to get to level 2, 3 EXP to get to level 3, etc. It fits better, but also provides a slightly smoother power curve for the first few hands of the game without impacting scoring potential by too much.
- Demo Update 0.26.4.17 - 18 April 2026
Hello (again) high rollers! This update brings in some final polish to the demo before I take a break this weekend. Dice now have better visual pop ups showing an icon of what they do. Icons are now all accurate for each die's ability.Check them out below! (+ some extras not yet in the game!)Have a great weekend!Sofa
- Demo Update 0.26.4.16 - 17 April 2026
Hey high rollers! Another round of bug fixes. Check it out below: BuffBanana Grab now gives x2 face value to stacks instead of just face valueBugsFixed full screen displaying improperly when clicking out of the game as it was starting.Visuals on "Roll" button fixed when at zero dice.Dice amount visuals fixed when at zero dice.Added an audio cue to the shop when you can't afford a reroll.Text/VisualsCopy Cat Die has new improved visuals :)Copy Cat Die now only displays a separate value if an option is toggled off in the settings.Reworked how "LEVEL UP!" is displayed for Hands.Moved the level value below the "LVL" text.Added a new effect when gaining EXP towards a Hand. With this most major (and minor) bugs should be fixed, and I am full speed ahead on the first playtest. More info to follow :)
- Demo Update 0.26.4.15 - 16 April 2026
Hey high rollers!Sofa here with another round of bug fixes! Some of these were minor, others pretty major (like ear-shattering so 😅). Check out the full rundown below: So first let's talk about the elephant in the room. That's a lot of points, and I didn't even think it was possible to do this in the demo. So congratz to this player!! (I'll name drop you if you want.) They're the first person to literally break the game when it came to scoring! Let's see what happened:Odd ScoringFixed scoring for hands over 3,000,000,000 points glitching the tallying logic after a certain threshold, causing the game to stall and perpetually tally points.Added a base CRIT of "1" to better synergize with different pin/dice abilities. Ex: Steel Epee gives a +2 CRIT modifier, but it really only ever counted as +1 CRIT, since the original CRIT was 0. So now a +2 CRIT will give a total of +3 CRIT (base + bon…
- Demo Update 0.26.4.12 - 13 April 2026
Bug FixPenny now correctly shows how much MULT it provides to the current hand.
- Demo Update 0.26.4.11 - 12 April 2026
Hello high rollers!Today's update brings a TON of bug fixes and some suggestions from players. Let's get to it: Small ReworksThe main menu and buttons have a reworked blobby flair to them. Good bye clickable bubble-things! Now they fit the theme better.New core system in to select multiple different dice bags (not in demo). This feature will be available in an upcoming playtest, however!New visual indicating when HANDS can be scored.CRIT keyword has been added, representing the multiple on TOP of the multiple as in: (POINTS x MULT) x CRIT.New visual indicator in the shop before a boss round to show where the boss info goes. The first target was reduced from 250 to 200 to better help with bad rolls at the start.Big ReworksDice and pins now show a special icon when they are active. This icon shows whether you gain POINTS, MULT, or CRIT and stays active for the entire hand (or longer!). But…
- New Menu/UI Update - 26 March 2026

This update fixes a few bugs, and adds stepping stones for future playtests with new content!Check out what's new below: MenusMenus now have a more cohesive bubbly theming to the rest of the game. And the groundwork is in for the next feature: dice bags! You can get a hint at what's to come...Made buttons more "bubbly" and "wobbly" and stuffButtons now zoom around the screen to transition to the "dice bag" update coming up next.IconsI changed some menu buttons from being text-based to icon-based to make some smaller and help with sizing buttons around translating to other languages. - Major Demo Update is OUT NOW! - 8 March 2026
Hello high rollers! The update you (may) have been waiting for has arrived! With this update there are new visuals, a new unlock system, harder difficulty, bug fixes, and a few new surprises! Let's dive in!New Visuals! We have brand new capsule art from the awesome Xilerus! Really excited to have him give some life to our mascot, Nuggie. With the new art I also was inspired to incorporate Nuggie into the game a bit more. About that...New Tutorial!Diecast now features a reworked tutorial that walks you through the first sector of the game. You can still lose, but only if you try (or have the worst luck in the world). It introduces each element of the shop in an easier to digest manner. Again, if you're an old player you may not need it, but it definitely will help any new players out a ton. Would love some feedback if you think it needs more work!Aaand back to our regularly scheduled conte…
