- Reforged - 19 April 2026
GreetingsA few months have passed, and we wanted to give you an update.A big content patch is coming. We’ve named it “Reforged” because we’ve truly changed a lot of things. The story, the main progression mechanics, and the gameplay style will remain the same, but there’s been significant polishing in particles, monster mechanics, small and large menu details, and above all, performance. We’ve refused to release a new IP despite everything that would entail, because honestly, on a personal level, I hate when that’s done to me, a “sequel” that’s basically the same thing, just with a new hat.All in all, we still have about 3-4 months of work ahead, but we wanted to let you know that we can already see the light at the end of the tunnel. Why so long? Well, we’re still just two people, and unfortunately we’re not working on this full-time.Please be patient, and mark the game down for August–…
- Major changes coming soon - 22 January 2026
Hello,For some time now, since we finished No Friends Space, we’ve been working on improving the small details that didn’t quite convince us.If you follow us on social media, you may have noticed that we’ve been completely absent—almost like a dead, abandoned studio. That was intentional. We didn’t plan to say anything until everything was finished, but lately there’s been a small trickle of new players, and we’re aware that the game’s quality is, at best, acceptable (at least by our own quality standards). We’re reworking a few things, improving visibility, and overall polishing the small details so the game can really shine. If you’ve liked what you’ve played so far—great! The patch improves everything that’s already there. If up to now the game feels more like “meh, what a letdown,” we ask for your patience, because in a few months it’s going to surprise you. Refund it and buy it again…
- Known issues - 24 October 2025
Hi everyone! We’ve recently detected some issues when playing with a controller. We’re currently working on a Unity migration that, besides improving the overall performance of the game, will also fix all of this. For now, we recommend playing with keyboard and mouse. At the same time, we’ll be releasing a small patch to fix a bug we hadn’t taken into account and that was blocking gameplay. Thanks to Leximancer for reporting it in the community! However, for future issues, please contact us through the support email, since the Steam community doesn’t send notifications. We’d like to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thanks, and see you soon!
- Minnor required update - 6 October 2025
Hello, due to a vulnerability in Unity, we are releasing this update to address the issue. First of all, there's no need to panic. The problem was that if your computer was already infected and you were playing multiplayer titles or connected to a local network, certain malicious software could gain more privileges to attack your system. Since Doors & Loot is a single-player game, it was never at any real risk, but it's always a good idea to follow security best practices. Keep enjoying your adventure, now even safer.
- Hey, it's summer, time to enjoy! - 22 July 2025
It's hot, it's a fact and maybe you have no choice but to stay at home. So, to fight boredom, we're giving you this huge discount. Take advantage, and spend a few hours at a good price with our game. Also, we've lowered the experience requirements so that leveling up is slightly easier.
- Small balance update - 21 July 2025
Fixed minor issues with the UI for keyboard/mouse It has been slightly reduced the experience requirement to level up.
- Anniversary - 11 May 2025
One year since the launch and... what a rollercoaster of emotions. We’re happy to see that the game has received such a warm reception, maintaining a 100% positive rating all this time is a huge personal achievement, especially when reviews from countries like China and Germany have been positive too, even though they tend to be more critical. We’re aware that the style still doesn’t fit with many players, and, as always, our marketing has been almost nonexistent. We hope this discount helps this great game reach more people and gain more visibility. If you’re not sure, give the demo a chance, but trust us when we say that 3 bucks is a steal. Come on, give it a shot!
- Minor bug fixes - 26 March 2025
Minor bug fixes on UI display
- Hot fix - 16 February 2025
Fixed an issue where new players can't init the game for first time.
- Improved combat, customization and more! - 6 February 2025
Hello and welcome to the latest content update By last we not only refer to the most recent, but to the fact that it is the final. (Unless you report bugs and other things). We all know that the worst aspect of Doors & Loot is the combat, simple and not very dynamic, which becomes tiresome after a while. Well, we have solved it (as far as humanly possible, remember that they are very basic models and we cannot add flourishes to them. No, this is not Black Myth Wukong and it never will be) The entire item icon system has been changed. Now each weapon, armor and item has a more dungeon-like style and less of a casual mobile game. New models have been added for weapons and helmets (we thought about adding it for gloves and armor as well, but the changes were so subtle and the impact so great, that we scrapped it). Visual effects have been added to make combat a little more interesting. Com…
- Hotfix - 14 January 2025
Fixed an error where Off hand attack can't be triggered with the keyboard-mouse
- Integration with Controller - 12 January 2025
Hello! We took some time and finally added controller integration. It's something that a few of you have asked for and it also opens the way for a few things that we have in mind, for this and other titles. This update is important since now, all of you lovers of games with a controller, you can enjoy this beautiful game. It will not be the last update but from time to time. Added controller integration. Now you can play with your controller or with keyboard and mouse as before. The use of memory and resources has been considerably improved to make the game more optimal. Visual improvements have been added to make it clearer which object is selected. Now instead of an inventory with Scroll, it has been paginated, having up to 3 inventory pages. Now instead of right-clicking on an inventory item to add it to favorites or drop it, specific keys have been added for this. Dropping an object…
- More Languages! - 24 August 2024
I'll be brief, the following languages have been added to the game: German French Portuguese (Brazil) Enjoy!
- First Localization Patch - 8 July 2024
New languages available: Chinese Russian *We are aware that we did a survey and this is not the order we said, but we have had a large number of visits from these two countries and we have given them priority. Portuguese, French and German coming soon.
- Loot improvements - 10 June 2024
There is not much to tell, this small patch is to improve the quality of the loot, especially on high floors. Increased the chance of higher quality loot in several floor ranges Reduced the chance of lower quality loot in several floor ranges. With this, progress should be more satisfactory, especially near the top.
- Adjustments and balance - 23 May 2024
Hello, before adding controller support we wanted to improve progression at high levels. These changes should make reach the top of the tower easier, especially if you are a warrior and not a sorcerer. Balance The number of enemies in the "macro dungeon" has been modified. If you've come across it, you know which one I'm talking about. The experience of Goblins and advanced Skeletons has been increased. The resistance of Yellow and Red rank of Goblins and advanced Skeletons has been reduced. Changes Talent Hemorrhage has been replaced by Duelist: Increases your damage by 5/10/15% when you equip one-handed weapons. The chance of bleeding is no longer increased. Now is a level 20 talent. The Brutality talent has changed: Increases your damage by 5/10/15% when you equip two-handed weapons. Stun chance no longer increased. Now is a level 20 talent. Developer's note: High-level sorcery talen…
- Dungeon generation improvements - 19 May 2024
The dungeon generation algorithm has been improved, progressing should now be less repetitive, especially if you take passages. We will be attentive to the feedback and videos to see that it is fluid but we do not discard improving the progression even further. The damage and resistances of some enemies as well as their experience have been adjusted on high floors.
