• Demo Update - 25 February 2026

  Hi guys!I just pushed a quick update to the demo, nothing major.The first few passageways of the intro cave were pretty confusing. Anytime I showed someone the game they would walk right past the entrance to the next area and get turned around.Not ideal, since the next part was the COOOOOOL part.I reworked this area and made it much more open and pretty, which in turn is much nicer to test out abilities when someone is first learning the game. I also use it to introduce the character of the "Dragon" briefly, giving a subtle, yet incomplete hint of his nature.Nothing else that is major this time, my time in Veil is spent fleshing out unfinished parts after all. Enjoy!

• Smoothing the Path: Demo Update - 10 July 2025

  Greetings explorers! I just pushed a new update for Veil's demo for you all to enjoy. The update mostly focuses on smoothing out the demo's first impressions. There is also some balancing and polish of movement abilities.Big Level ChangesAdded a new, easy waterfall cave at beginning.Added a longer gliding tutorial."Will help less confident players lean into game. • Wonder and Horror: Major Demo Update - 30 October 2023

  Dear explorers, I have updated the free demo of Veil: Alter Unknown with a great deal of new content, and just in time for Halloween! An illuminated hallway leads to an expanse of wonder, and of great challenge! Most of my equipment doesn't work there. Strange. Within a cliff lies a dark complex. I heard strange sounds within.
