- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (PS5) Review - 18 September 2025
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is the latest racing spin-off title under the Sonic the Hedgehog series, ditching the “Team” from the title to put the focus back into a purer kart racing experience for all to enjoy. Off the burning heels of Mario Kart World , Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds proves that the blue blur can still go toe-to-toe with Nintendo’s finest, giving players a robust and fun-to-play kart racer that sets the standard for future efforts. Featuring 23 playable characters and 24 main tracks, not including 15 Crossworld gimmick levels, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds , even without its promised free DLC, has a ton of content to keep players busy. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds feels like a return to form for the Sonic Racing series, giving fans of Sonic the Hedgehog a more pure feeling Kart racer experience when compared to Sonic’s last Tag Team efforts. Thankfully, for those who liked the team…

- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Hands-On Preview – A Sharp Racer Through SEGA - 26 August 2025
After the instantly viral announcement of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and its promise of cross-platform play, I was immediately intrigued by the obvious David-versus-Goliath story SEGA was trying to stage against other popular kart racers (especially one that rhymes with “swirled”). So, when I had the chance to go hands-on early with the next contender in the genre, my hand shot up faster than the teacher’s pet in a classroom. My preview build of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds did not include the recently announced Minecraft , Persona or Pac-Man levels, and the characters were not yet available. What it did offer, however, was the chance to get behind the wheel as Like a Dragon ’s Ichiban Kasuga and the world’s most popular animated superstar, Hatsune Miku , along with the other confirmed roster additions so far. After a brief session on its intricately designed courses, it is clear that Cross…
