- Stack All Feature + Future Updates - 5 June 2026
Hi there! I just got back from Korea where I attended a B2B gaming event called GAME AiCON. What an incredible experience and I met many publishers, investors, and fellow devs at the event! I got some great ideas from them and I am now ready to move to futher improve Cosmic Coop to the next level. For the update today, I added a 'Stack All' button when you open your chests. This will allow you to quickly stack all items with items in that specific chest. IF highly desired, I can make it that they stack with ALL chests rather than the single chest you have opened. I did this purposely as I wasn't sure if it was useful to stack across all chests, especially if you are collecting items in your inventory but then accidentally stack it in a chest and you lose track of the item.COMING UP:A full farm revamp. This is going to take some time so I will do a bunch of smaller updates inbetween but…
- Minor bug fixes - 16 May 2026
Fixed some user reported bugs real quick. 1. Fish have a shorter distance so they don't get lured from across the map. 2. The 'Turn In' button one quests was not usable if you used the Right Trigger on Controller, that is fixed now. 3. Fixed some French translation errors 4. Fixed possibility of Music stopping and not re-activating. 5. Might have fixed Fenna sticking around by the Job Board after completing the Villager quest. If this issue persists, you can simply walk back to the farm and come back and she should start moving as normal.
- Performance update + Balancing - 15 May 2026
Hello! A few things that might/might not affect you but I did a MAJOR performance update, most of you won't really notice this as Cosmic Coop should essentially be playable on a baked potato. HOWEVER, I did significantly reduce any lag late game when the farm is full of objects, grass, and critterlings all doing their thing. Handheld players on Steam Deck would notice a huge difference late game. ---- I also did a bit of balancing, as I noticed the critterlings just constantly poop like crazy and drop their 'rare' loot like it's raining falling from the sky. Fodder is drops significantly less now when cutting grass as it was just crazy how much was dropping. ---- A user also reported some visual clipping of the main menu on higher resolutions. I've also gone ahead and taken care of that, thank you for the report!
- 5 New Achievements (Museum!) - 12 May 2026
To make gathering and collecting stuff in the Museum more fun, I added 5 new achievements! 1 For completing each section and one final one for completing the whole museum! Those that have already completed sections of the museum or maybe even the entire museum will also get the achievements when they log in to the save game and access the museum. happy collecting!
- Museum Update: 73 Collectibles! - 7 May 2026

There are currently 73 collectibles to donate and complete.ImprovementsUpdated the underwater fish sprites, making fish much easier to see in the water.Made controller selection feel a bit better when navigating and choosing things.Updated the Friends page in the Journal so it more clearly explains what each NPC sells.Fixed various little things that were annoying me, so I fixed them.Previously AddedAdded minimap icons in Town. These point toward NPCs so you can find them more easily, even when they roam around.Added the unlockable cave system. This will be used for more things in the future, but for now you can unlock new sections of the map by spending resources. What Should I Work On Next?I’m still deciding what to add next. One idea is a seasonal…
- New feature: Unlockables! - 2 May 2026
Hi there, I added some new stuff in todays patches. First, I fixed a few small bugs that annoyed me but you might not have experienced yourselves. Second, I added a new 'Unlockable' type of feature, specifically for the CAVE. It was a little too easy to harvest Stone and Ore from the Cave, so now you first have to unlock it before you get access. While this might be annoying for some existing players who use it often, the resources required to unlock it are not that high yet until I find a nice balance so you should be able to unlock it quite fast. For new players, this gives a bit more use to certain resources, and I will also be adding this feature to other new zones that I have planned like the Marshlands, The Forest, and even a Deeper Cave (maybe with some combat in there?) ----- Next feature I'll be working on: - Museum This is where you can donate special items to fill up the enti…
- "Mini Map" + Treasure Hunting + NPC Pathfinding Fixed - 28 April 2026
Hello everyone! It's been a while but still spending a lot of trying to figure out the porting to Nintendo Switch (not as easy as it looks for this project!) BUT... I have a few updates in this patch that player have asked for: NPC Mini Map in Town NPCs are now more easily trackable, it's not a minimap that you have to open, but instead you will see a small icon of their face in the direction they are at. This will allow you to more easily find the NPC you are looking for! NPCs getting stuck A small fix (I hope) that ensures NPCs don't get stuck. Treasure Hunting on the Beach There was a small potential bug here, it wouldn't have affected everyone but it could sometimes ensure that the X's would not spawn on the beach. This has been patched now. As always, thank you for playing and if you have feedback, send me a message and I'll put it in my list of things to do! Kyle
- Nintendo Switch Progress + Improved Spawn Rates - 30 March 2026
Hey everyone,It’s been a little while since the last update!Lately, most of my time has been focused on the Nintendo Switch port. It’s coming along really well, and I’ve learned a lot about optimization, loading times, and performance along the way.The biggest challenge has definitely been load times. Early on, the game took around 60 seconds just to reach the main menu, which obviously wasn’t acceptable. I’m happy to say that it’s now down to about 3 seconds, which feels smooth and natural with the current transitions. With that hurdle out of the way, the remaining work is getting everything fully prepared and polished for release. If things continue like this, I’m aiming for the Switch version to be ready in about a month (but dont mark my word for it.. doing the best possible here to make it move as fast as possible).PC UpdateWhile most of the focus is on Switch right now, I’ve still…
- New Game Announcement – Critter Tactics - 12 March 2026
Hi everyone!I wanted to share something exciting that I've been working on behind the scenes. I'm currently developing a brand new game called Critter TacticsCritter Tactics is a roguelike auto-battler where you build a team of critters and send them into battle against waves of enemies. Instead of traditional equipment or upgrades, your farm decorations become your build, giving your critters different buffs and strategies each run.You can check out the Steam page here and wishlist it if it looks interesting: Cosmic Coop Development ContinuesDevelopment on Cosmic Coop is absolutely continuing.Right now I'm making good progress on the Nintendo Switch version, which is my main focus at the moment. Once that version is released, I plan to start investigating co-op multiplayer to see how feasible it is.I also plan to continue adding new content such as quests and additional features over t…

- 🎄 Holiday Update & January Plans 🎄 - 18 December 2025
With Christmas and the holidays coming up, I’ll be taking a short break from coding over the next few weeks. When I’m back in January, the main focus will be expanding the Job Board quests. The goal is to add 20–40 new quests, giving you more things to do and more reasons to check in with your critters and villagers. - PATCH 2 DEC 2025 - Various mini bug fixes - 2 December 2025
BUG FIXESVanishing ItemsA flag was not clearing correctly, which caused certain items to disappear. This has been fixed, and a basic item-restoration fallback has been added.Incubators Appearing in the Wrong LocationSome incubators were loading under the wrong scene. A fallback system has been added so every loaded object now checks the scene it is parented to and uses that to determine its correct location. In several cases, new objects had been placed on top of old incubator positions. This caused overlaps where the grid cell was already occupied, preventing one of the items from registering. If this happened to you:Move the object you can interact with.Save the game.Load the game again. The stuck incubator should correct itself.Alternatively, you can pick up the overlapping object, or a pickup will be printed at that location.Crafting Page TooltipsTooltips were showing on empty crafting…
