• Playtest / Alpha-demo is live! - 20 January 2026

  Hey everyone, We are excited to announce that our first playtest is now live! - Available on the Excised store page.It is the first ~1.5 hours of the game. Which is the introductory section of the game which is more linear than everything after it.The difficulty is currently tuned to be challenging but fair and rewarding. Took us a little longer than expected because we went ahead and did a lot of internal playtesting, so it should be a smooth experience, but please let us know of any issues.The Steam forum for Excised can be used for feedback (linked on the main menu of the game) we will be active full time there during the playtest.Any playtesters that provide constructive feedback can be included in the credits.And if you have any ideas that you haven't seen in a game, and think it could fit, please let us know!Hope you like it, thanks!- Saxon and Garrick

• Playtest Pre-Announcement - 13 November 2025

  Hey,Excised is being developed by two brothers. We are ~3 years into development and are now ready to share some of what we've been working on. This November - definitely before the end of the year - there will be a playtest for Excised.One of our goals is to capture the magic of 2000-2010 games, so Excised is a little experimental, and therefore this initial feedback will be extremely useful - particularly for testing our complex A.I.So be on the look out for that announcement. It will be after we put the final touches into it - when it is ready.Any play-testers that provide constructive feedback can be put into the credits!- We've made great progress on the game this year, including: Finalized most of the enemies for the whole game, only a couple more need to be finished.Most of the AI is done, except for some extra details.
