• Progress update - 14 April 2026

  Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well.I just wanted to post something to let you know how the next update is going. As I've told you before, I'm working on the campaign chapter one. Also, I've also been working on new lighting and some more optimizations. I've been trying to avoid raytracing for various reasons, mainly compatibility with old hardware, but I decided I'm just going to try my best to optimize as best as I can. At the moment, I'm facing two major problems. First, I have a finger injury on my right index finger, and second, my backup server is down. I expect both of these will be fixed in the next week or so, but meantime, development is halted. I hope you have a great day and always, thank you for playing :)

• Demo release & patch notes - 9 March 2026

  Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. A couple of days ago, I released the demo for Like Birds. The playtest should be unavailabe as of now. There has been a number of bug fixes and performance improvements, and I added some Japanese translations to the UI. I'm adding the translations while studying Japanese, so it might not be perfect right now, but it will get better over time. I'm currently working on the campaign. If everything goes as planned, chapter 1 should be coming this spring or early summer. Meanwhile please report any bugs in the official discord channel. Thanks for playing the game, and I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback!

• Attending Tokyo Game Show - 23 September 2024

  Hello everyone, I will be going to TGS 2024 in a few days. Like Birds is not a game big enough to have a place in the show yet, but I hope I can get some insight and inspiration there.
