• Unexpected update - 27 November 2024

  With the last major content update I thought the game is finished and I'll head straight into working on part 2... Well things went sideways ːsteamfacepalmː During several events in the past half year since final release, many volks were interested in the story but had no pc or steam access, so I decided to make a graphic novel version as well. So in the past 4-5 months I had to rerender a lot of stuff and rework the visual novel designed for 16:9 into a comic format 7:10 ːsteamfacepalmː As this is finally done and most of the 16+ edition is out there for free on some plattforms and a digital as well as physical version of an 18+ version containing things Steam accused me being part of the initial game ːsteamfacepalmː ːsteamfacepalmː (the hard 18+ rating) What s the point? • it is done... - 7 June 2024

  The last major content update is here with some new scenes, more music and a few minor bugfixes. Now it s time to get working on the comic version for part 1 while cranking up the development on the next part of the series. Also the first dedicated song to the series will be on our socials in a week "Fall of a Dynasty - The Rhynos Incident" might drop on Steam Early Access hopefully by the end of 2024 and continue the story.

• Leaving Early Access in June - 22 May 2024

  While the past month was quite on the public front, a lot was ongoing. The final content update will most likely be released on June 14th in sync with a major local gaming event. The last regular content update will feature a couple of more scenes for the 2nd playthrough as well as several new bgm tracks and the piano version of the first official song for the series. In addition after creating a little free preview comic for the game to hand out at events there are plans to turn the game into a full comic series. There is also a music video in works which should be released when going live. Also prepwork for the next part of the series already started. More on that once there is a realistic timeline available.

• March content update - 15 March 2024

  As promised the march content update is right on time. Changes - 18 new scenes for the 2nd playthrough - 2 new characters in 2nd playthrough - Upgraded several older scene backgrounds - Upgraded several old character models - Minor text and background fixes What’s next? There will be one more larger content update with additional scenes and upgrades on the sound and music for some scenes. With that the game will leave Early Access. The planned final release date is mid of June which will be in sync with a local gaming event to maximise promotion potential. In the meantime work on storyline for part 2 has already started.

• Update on 2nd Content Update - 17 February 2024

  After having a couple of busy weekends due to some local conventions and RL work the progress with the planned 2nd content update is in line with the overall plan. As of now, I expect it to hit Steam around mid of March. Aiming for Friday the 15th but that’s not 100% set in stone ;) What will be new? approx 18-20 new scenes for the 2nd play through 2 upgraded character models. Admiral Horn got an upgrade, forcing me to re-render my favourite ball video… again… I hope for the last time ever… 1 new character appearance and a brief look at the empires forces several older scenes got some visual upgrades to get them more in line with later scenes and add some more realism

• 1st major content update - January 2024 - 19 January 2024

  content changes - 17 new/extended scenes for the extended playthrough mode (aka Spoilermode) - 1 new character for the extended playthrough mode (aka Spoilermode) - overhaul of character models for Malcolm Tolwyn, Omega 1, Omega 7, Sigma 1, all A & C series protector battle gear techical changes - unlocked screen resolution to all common 16:9 and 16:10 formats (please consider that the game is designed and intended for 1920x1080) - adjusted UI to better suit the new resolutions - changed video codec to support the Steam Deck misc - small bug fixes and typos outlook The target window for the next content update will be the 2nd half of March 2024, featuring approx 20 new scenes and some smaller upgrades.

• Update on the January update! - 15 January 2024

  The for mid January announced first major content update is as good as done ːsteamhappyː The rollout will happen on Friday the 19th of January, late afternoon/evening (CET) if you can't wait, there is an already updated BETA version available. But based on some initial testing there are some minor kinks that need to be ironed out till friday. eg. the titlescreen needs to be updated and the 2nd ball animation need a few frames to be replaced for the updated O7 model in the background final details on the changes will be posted on friday

• Update on the upcoming January version - 31 December 2023

  As we approach January it’s time for some more info on the upcoming update. Things didn’t work as initially planned as during the dive into Unreal Engine I realised that I have to fix a couple of other things first. Specifically the Frankenstein solution for the A & C Protector-Squad models which actually are not just one model but two separate ones posed in a way to hide the fact that the body is still a Gen8 model while the head is Gen9. While past experiments to upgrade the body suit with all its morphs to Gen9 failed, I finally found a new outfit combination to keep the distinct look mostly the same but add more details. So, once again and hopefully for the last time, I need to go back and rerender approx 300 backgrounds and 20+ videos and short clips for the new release. And as I’m already doing that, I took the opportunity to exchange some other characters to Gen9 as well. So… wha…

• Hotfix 1.1.03 - 18 December 2023

  - added event on day 49 morning to avoid getting stuck in case you miss the party on day 48 - fixed some typos - fixed a missing background image during the inspection trip

  There's a way to get stuck on morning of day 49 if you miss the party on evening of day 48! I'll upload a fix for that later today, just need to run some tests to make sure the other newer content for the Jan release is not interfering. Till the fix, make sure to choose the embassy on evening of day 48 :) Other fixes -few typos -a missing background

• Plans for the next major update - 12 December 2023

  Well it's already been one week since launch and all's working fine, beside a constant stream of emails and requests. I'm already back working on the first larger update. the currently planned content will be 1-2 new scenes for the main story 15-20 new scenes for the spoiler storyline (after you finished the main at least once) 1 new character some smaller bug fixes (mostly typos) I expect to be able to publish it early to mid January... (depending on my editor and testers availablity)

• We are live! - 5 December 2023

  Finally the day has come and we are live on Steam! So, what's different in comparison with the free build out there? already in the current build - 14 characters got the upgrade treatment to the latest base model generation, new outfits and all what's necessary - 1 new Steam exclusive character with a small extra storyline - an additional way to influence the ending (just in case you screwed up early in the game) planed for the near future - 2nd gameplay mode with many additional events that happened outside of perception of our main character, to learn what others were doing and planning. There is already a brief preview in the game. After finishing the game and starting a new game you can choose to play again in the normal way of things or the "spoiler" version. Right now there are 3 minor events before our hero even arrives, to give a glimpse of things to come Now it's time to celebr…

• All ready to go! - 4 December 2023

  The final release build for the start of early access is done, tested and uploaded. So all that s left is to press the release button tomorrow ːsteamhappyː I hope this works smoothly as intended. I'm sorry, but I can't give you the exact release time yet, but as it's my first release on Steam, I guess I'll try to do it rather earlier than later, just in case of any problems.
