• The demo for Alex's Journey to the Grave is released! - 4 November 2024

  Hi everyone!! After a whole lot of work, the demo for Alex's Journey to the Grave is officially released today! Here's the link! The demo consists of Act 1 out of 6 that will be in the full game, which is 15,000 words or around 1.5 hours long for the average reader. It tells the story of how our two main characters met and had their fates intertwined. A dark room, an online chat, a new perspective, a bright smile, a warm embrace... and a growing, inescapable fear. I'm extremely proud of how polished the demo has turned out, and I believe it will definitely catch the attention of anyone within the target audience. • Alex's Journey to the Grave demo is releasing this month! + Playtest! - 9 October 2024

  Hi everyone! We at Violet Horizons have recently finished a nearly-complete build of the first act of Alex's Journey to the Grave, which will serve as our demo release for the game, and we're looking for public playtesters to check it out before we release it on October 25th. Alex's Journey to the Grave features the same main characters as Alex's Hope & Alex's Solitude. It's a dark and emotional romance VN telling the story of their life together, featuring warmth, connection, tragedy, the inevitability of death... and a cat.   Hi all, sorry to stay quiet for so long! We really appreciate all the supportive reviews for Alex's Hope & Alex's Solitude, our first ever visual novel! This is just a very small update to tweak some parts of the UI, fix some very abrupt transitions that were bugging me, and update the game's engine (Ren'Py) to the latest version. A much larger, entirely story-focused update to Alex's Hope in particular is likely in the books at some point, but me and the team's attention will be solely focused on our next visual novel, Alex's Journey to the Grave, for the foreseeable future.
