- Meet some of the team behind Moonfrost! A New Chapter Begins.… - 10 September 2026
We thought it was finally time to properly introduce some of the people working behind Moonfrost and share a little more of what has been happening behind the scenes. 😉Moonfrost has changed a lot over the past 4 years, and so has our team, but one thing that has stayed the same is the kind of world we want to build: something made with care, full of characters, stories and places that feel worth rebuilding. In the video, Joe, our Senior Game Artist, talks about the visual side of Moonfrost, including our handcrafted pixel art-to-3D environments, lighting, collectibles and some of the new characters coming to the game.Danny, our Game Designer and Writer, shares more about what makes Moonfrost a little different from a traditional farming life sim, while Jihee, also known as Puffbean, talks about connecting the community with the rest of the team and making sure your feedback, suggestions…
- Dev Diary: Little Details, Bigger Stories ✨ - 21 August 2026
Hello, Frost Hunters! 💜Happy Friday! We are back with another Dev Diary, and this time we are taking a closer look at some of the new pixel art and objects we have been working on for Moonfrost. 👀You may remember from our previous Dev Diary that we have been working on giving NPCs more routines, activities and ways to interact with the world around them.As we continue working on that, we have also been creating more objects for both you and the villagers to use, from practical everyday items to a few more playful additions. 😉Creating New Pixel Art 🎨Our pixel artist, Ash, has been busy working on new assets that will eventually find their way into different parts of Moonfrost. You might have already spot a few interesting additions here, including a dancing arcade machine, a pinball machine, dart board, an architect’s table and a beehive. 🐝🎮Each one has its own purpose in Moonfrost,…
- Dev Diary: Bringing Moonfrost’s NPCs to Life ✨ - 7 August 2026
Hello, Frost Hunters! 💜Happy Friday! We are back with another Dev Diary, and this time we are taking a closer look at how we have been bringing NPCs to life and giving them more ways to go about their day around the village. 🫶NPCs have always been an important part of making Moonfrost feel warm and welcoming. We want them to feel like genuine residents with things to do.Rather than having characters simply stand in one place all day, we have been working on giving them more active routines, allowing them to move around, spend time in different locations and take part in everyday village life. 😉A More Lively VillageAs you explore, you will be able to see NPCs moving around the village and spending time in different areas throughout the day. These movements may seem like a small detail, but they make a big difference to how the village feels. Seeing familiar faces wandering along the ro…

- Dev Diary: Village Reconstruction 🏘️ - 25 July 2026
Hello, Frost Hunters! 💜Happy Saturday! We’re back again with another Dev Diary, and this time we are taking a closer look at village reconstruction.Rebuilding the village has always been an important part of Moonfrost, but we wanted the process to feel more hands-on and give you a greater sense of involvement in bringing it back to life.In the current demo, village reconstruction mainly involves gathering the required materials and submitting them to complete a quest. While this lets you watch the village gradually improve, we felt there was an opportunity to make the restoration process more interactive. So, we have been expanding the system to let you take part in the cleanup yourself! 😉A More Hands-On ApproachAs you explore the village, you will now come across roads and other areas that have become overgrown or blocked by weeds, stones, piles of rubble and scattered Moonfrost shard…
- Dev Diary: The Olunari Temple is changing 🌿 - 10 July 2026
Hi Frost Hunters 💜,We hope you’ve been doing well! Over here, the Moonfrost team has been busy wandering through old ruins, placing far too many plants, and trying not to get distracted every time a mysterious tile starts glowing. We’ve been spending more time in the Olunari Temple, and it’s slowly becoming a truly magical place packed with secrets waiting to be discovered. The temple has always been one of the most mysterious parts of our world, but until recently, it was still missing some of the atmosphere and interaction we wanted it to have. So we’ve been focusing on bringing more life, depth, and secrets into this strange space.Bringing nature back into the temple 🌿One of the biggest visual updates is the addition of moss and overgrown details. In earlier versions, parts of the temple could feel a little too clean for a place that’s been abandoned for centuries, while some of the g…

We’ve been working on a few different areas of the game, including NPC relationships, some visual polish for character skin tones, and an in-game map! Let’s have a quick look at what we’ve been doing. 😉Relationship Feature UINPC relationships are a super important part of Moonfrost! We have entire character arcs planned out for each villager, including romantic story events for our bachelors, deep moments where they choose to open up to you, and just plain fun slice-of-life moments to share with these characters.
