- Level Design Workflow - 12 November 2023
We've been hard at work on the first dungeon for Aetherift. This week we documented our level design process and recorded it at a local event. - Game engines, Steam, and Discord - 18 October 2023
The last month has been a busy time for Aetherift, both in terms of development and the public presence of the game. Steam First up, Aetherift now has a Steam store page!! Wishlist and follow, and tell your friends :) . We’ll be updating the page with more screenshots, videos, and better descriptions as we build the game. For now it’s a big first step towards being more public about Aetherift and its development. Game Engine Second, we’re porting Aetherift to a new game engine! Due to "recent events" we made the tricky decision to switch for the long term health of the game, and to better align with our goals and principles. We want players to be able to enjoy Aetherift for as long as they like after purchasing it with no strings attached. After evaluating multiple options, we decided upon Godot as our engine of choice and have made amazing progress so far in the porting process. We’re…
