- Patch 1-0-1a - 13 June 2026
First post-release update. Some Quality of Life improvements have been added, and some QOL related issues have been fixed. Most Game Modes now require you to have a certain number of stars in the Practice modes. This requirement is easily skipped, but it is strongly recommended that you play the Practice modes before trying the Skirmish or Online modes.New Features:-- Intended Production---- Unit Producers can now save a command if they cannot make a unit because of a lack of resources. ---- When constructing a building, if there are not enough resources the builder will hold the command and wait for the resources. You will see a marker on the ground where it will be built.---- When producing bots, the command will hold and when the resources come in, production will begin automatically.---- While the command is held, it will appear as a selected-unit cast bar, and it will show a red '\…

- 0-9-0a: Pre-Release - 9 March 2026
The pre-release patch is here, and 1.0 is just around the corner! It's been over 2 years of early access, and the game has come a long way! This patch features a new selected-unit panel, with a fancy speedometer. I've decided the Rust Outlaw is not a good fit for its early-game spot, and the Mortar Car would be better. However, I've kept the old resource costs & build times in their original spots. The Mortar Car is now a cheap Iron unit, long range but very fragile. The Outlaw is now the high-tech gold unit. I wanted to increase the risk/reward of expanding. Cores are now much cheaper, about 200 resources total. Both Cores and other early-game buildings are also built at a faster rate now as well.New Features:-- Improved unit-selection panelBalance Changes:-- Rust tech rework: Outlaw and Mortar Car have been swapped---- Mortar Car:------ Now also made at Scrap Yard, now costs 61 Iron +…
- Super Ace DLC Release - 10 February 2026
After being 'few weeks away' for several months, and then a 'few days away' for a week, 0-2-5a is finally released! And with it, Super Ace is finally here! This is a new campaign-like game mode, available on Steam DLC.There has been an important change to the Standard match Win Condition. The tie-breaker has been reworked. The team colors no longer have any specific meaning or rule attached, and both players now start with the same number of workers. Destroying Cores now awards 2 points instead of 1. The new tie-breaker is the Rush-Point, awarded once per match. The first unit destroyed awards 1 point, which acts as the tie-breaker.There was also a major rework to metal mining: Gold can now be dropped off at Cores. However, Gold is mined slower now, and workers cannot carry as much (only 5 per trip instead of 7). These changes allow more options in the early game, and each faction has i…
- Super Ace development update - 6 February 2026
Last summer I decided to focus on a DLC, with single-player content, and I aimed for it to take at least a few weeks. There were then a series of delays, which ground development to a halt. These things can happen when developing a game solo.As it started to look like 0.2.5a, the Super Ace patch, would take much longer than expected I decided to add in some last features. In this patch there will be a major rework of metal-mining, which for now only applies to the Gold resource. Marble in particular has received lots of changes to its tech-tree.As a result, this will be the last major patch before final release. The next patch will be 0.9.0a, and then shortly after will be 1.0.0a & full release! It will be about 3 weeks between them, these patches will be mostly bug fixes. I will be spending most of my time with promoting the game once Super Ace is done. That said, I don't want to give a…

Harry T here! I have been working solo on Neon Marble Rust for a couple years now. It's been a blast so far, and I am looking forward to a full release sometime this year. The Alpha phase of early access is ending soon, and with the start of the Beta I am adding the 'Supporter's Badge' to start monetization. The Supporter's Badge is a simple cosmetic item that will appear in Quick-Match matches online. It is a one-time purchase. The price is low, but any amount will be of great help! Here's what it looks like during a match: NEON: MARBLE: RUST: If you want to help support development, but don't want to make a purchase, you can leave a review or follow the game on social media!
