  Hello, Water Walkers 🌊We'd like to extend a big thank you to the 7K+ people who downloaded our demo so far and to all those who gave us feedback! 💙 This demo taught us a lot about you as our audience, about immediate issues with our game design, and gave us a lot to think about future development.Most addressed issues & plan of action:1. Confusing level navigation and vague objectivesWe want to create an exploration game that doesn't hold your hand, but we realize now that mission objectives were far too vague. In the future, we'll aim to strike a way better balance between exploration and guidance. As for level design, we have taken note of your feedback and it's something we'll bear in mind as we lay down each area of the game!2.   Hi, Water Walkers 🌊Thanks so much to those who have so far tried out our demo and have left feedback and bug reports. Here is our first patch where we:Added keyboard icons and button prompts so keyboard players do not have to guess the keybindings 😅Added physics substepping to improve buoyancy behavior at low framerates.Added more tutorial hints to better guide the players.Changed video codecs so intro and loading screens work on Steam Deck.Defaulted visual settings to "high" instead of "ultra".We hope these changes will make your experience smoother.   Hello, Water Walkers 🌊The upcoming Ocean Fest is an excellent opportunity to celebrate and discover games about the ocean. We will, of course, be joining the event, but we also have one more exciting announcement: we're releasing our first public DEMO! The demo will go live on our Steam Store Page on 18th of May at 10 AM PDT (or 19:00 CEST). In it, you'll be able to try out for yourself the core features of our game: kiting, fish herding, and combat.   Hello, we're the fish devs and we have an announcement! 🫧🐠We'll be showcasing our Vertical Slice for 🌊The Edge of Water🌊 at Devcom Developer Conference in Germany. If you're in Cologne during 17-19 August, you can be among the first people to try out our game and give us feedback!So far, we've posted snippets and shenanigans on social media, but we are now ready to present a fuller view of the world and story of The Edge of Water. We want this VS to capture the atmosphere and beauty we wish to convey throughout the whole game. And so we've been working hard and making many changes.
