  • E.A. Update 0.2 - 21 June 2026

Just a few bug fixes/improvements. I'm still investigating some of the problems and causes of occasional crashes. Maybe some people played it with less than 16 Gig of RAM, but surely not the majority. I have fiddled with the music import settings as I think that was using a lot of RAM causing maybe some of the crashes. Now the game saves every time you get to the main base. It's still best to save manually, but at least if there's a crash after you finish a level, you can "Continue" from the main base.I've made the "Random" campaign unavailable for now since it has some problems. I will re-add it after doing some more testing. "Standard" is still best for first timers anyway, being slightly curated.I Added in-game options for mouse sensitivity and music volume, without having to go to the main menu.Added default "H" for quick(er) use of repair kits.Reduced speed of enemy projectiles by a…

  • Release! - 3 April 2026

Finally release!Still a work in progress, but there are some 25/30 hours of gameplay already. The roadmap from here on is roughly:Adding The Final Boss battle on Terra, currently missing.Finishing all other (5) currently missing "Coming soon" items.Adding and testing "Fierce Campaign" where to take your character after finishing the Main Campaign.Possibly one job in each of the unlockable areas, to earn some extra kreds, and 2 new objects: vials and energy belts..Here's the things I have been working on the last few weeks:Dynamics:Added weight to the weapons: With the ChainGun and Flamethrower you now move at 80% of the normal speed; with the space rifle at 90%. With the pistol at 105%.Reduced speed of enemy projectiles by 10 %. Likewise reduced speed of player projectiles for Pistol and HornetRifle by 10%.Feel:Increased recoil by over 100%.Remade sounds for the pistol and the chain gun.…

  • Release postponed a few days. - 30 March 2026

Due to some technical difficulties, release has had to be delayed a few days.I am planning on April the 3rd, four days from today, if that is enough time for Steam to sort their side of things out, if not alternatively the 6th. Either way we have to wait for Steam to come back to me.Sorry about that.

  • Small Patch - 7 March 2026

This small update introduces:A fix to a bug that wouldn't let you reach maintenance from the main baseA few changes to the pools in the first open area: Color, depth, damage incurred

  • A number of news - 23 February 2026

Hi all,We made it into Next Fest! We also got accepted in the Rogue Bots festival running 1st-9th of march and I've also finalized the Early Access release date which will be the 30th of march. Also the latest update:Slowed down mousewheel switching of weapons to a more comfortable level.Fixed bug where you were always paying a fixed 10% for re-integration, instead of the shown percentage.Reworked eShop03 and introduced a new item where you can reduce the re-integration costs.Increased value of "kreds found +" biochips.Added sound to temples doors.Fixed end of stairs in Temple/2 where you would get stuck.Fixed a bug that would not reload the weapon you had when you saved.Fixed enemy stuck below the floor and shooting through in Spaceship/3.Fixed door overlapping in spaceship/7 ("Barking Dog" tileset).Fixed renegade scientists not playing the correct death animation.Fixed bug where your w…

  • Demo Update 1.2 - 4 February 2026

Fixed wall that was blocking path and enemies shooting through walls in ice planet (lvl 3).Decreased roaming penalty from 30% to 25%, so now roaming gets you 75% instead of 70%. This is still base value, so it can be increased in the eShop03.Corrected instance where a different map would be spawned after completing a mission.Fixed button for purple kits buying green kits instead.Fixed a number of enemies not moving/twitching in place.Made it so that if you are roaming in a much lower level you do not find biochips, as they would always be very weak and more of a bother to either skip or discard rather than keep.Added warning when you change mission that the current progress will be reset.Corrected tile instance in ice planet that would let you fall out of the level.Fixed the hoverable explanation of stats in the Character Screen that were broken in the Demo.(Also added an explanation fo…

  • New Trailer and Demo update 1.1 - 19 January 2026

It was brought to my attention that the RPG and Roguelite elements of the game weren't quite clear, so I made one last trailer just to better outline them.As for the Demo Update to 1.1:Fixed resolution changing automatically to the lowest when launching the game a second time, Fixed Continue not working when in the first scene.Fixed QuickStart getting mixed up between NewGame and Continue.Eliminated teleport starting effect when "Continue"ing while there is an ongoing game.Unlocked "Random Campaign" from the start instead of from level 8, with a warning. It still can't be played in the demo, though.Other minor fixes. That's it for the moment. See you next time!

  • Demo is here! - 12 December 2025

I'm happy to announce the release of the demo. There were a lot of details to take care of. This is a quick recap: Thing added: Description of powers when you hover Autosaves Working Audio Options Gameplay options (autosave frequency, zoom toggle, shop animations) Resizable Keybinding depending on aspect ratios TAB brings up a list of keys implemented "Shockwave" power added "live" Field of View option Zooming in and out in map view "QuickStart" option just for the demo Corrected stretching textures in starting level with triplanar shading (more to come) Added arrows indicating items on higher or lower floors for spaceship level 2 (more to come) Brief explanation of map when entering the first planet mission.Fixes: Menu "Continue" item could be clicked repeatedly causing it to restart the teleport each time muzzle flashes where wrong when changing FoV, and when zooming in. fixed the seq…

  • Quick Demo update. - 5 December 2025

Just a quick note. The demo is finally coming, set to release in a week, on the 12th. The page is up, and I'll go into a few more details on the day of release.Stay tuned!

  • Demo and Release Update - 1 October 2025

Due to a number of things that I had to deal with in Real Life, namely stuff at work and negotiations for the lease extension, I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to have, and I wasn't able to do as much as I had hoped. Maybe I'm a bit burnt out as well. Regardless, I did manage to work out the controls preferences, even though the keys rebinding took me days. I'll avoid the technical reasons, but so annoying. Thus, as the demo isn't quite in the state I'd like it to be in yet, I have decided to skip the October Next Fest and join the one after, which unfortunately is no sooner than February, so I am putting the game up for a march 2026 release. The demo should be tried and tested in my opinion before it goes to Next Fest.To rush it the way it is I feel would be a disservice to everybody and the game itself.I apologize for any disappointment this might cause.

  • End of playtest, future plans. - 13 August 2025

Thanks to everybody who took part and especially to those who provided feedback! The next steps now are adding all the missing pieces, while debugging and polishing, to get the demo ready mid to late September, joining Next Fest in October and releasing in Early Access around November/December.I'll keep you updated.

  • Playtest patch 1.1 - 7 August 2025

Added "return" key for anyone who was having problems with "e" only to activate objects.Fixed instance of keypad not recognised.Added feedback for sending Feedback (so you know it's been sent)Got rid of garbage stats used for development.

  • Playtest! - 2 August 2025

Playtest Limitations:The game is optimized for 16/9. Other aspect ratios, tested between 4/3 and 21/9, will have some more or less known graphical and gameplay inaccuracies but still should be basically playable. Please note that if you change aspect ratio, you MUST quit and relaunch. I'm trying to automate this but I haven't had much luck over the last few days.If you wanna restart the game from the beginning I also suggest quitting and relaunching to avoid similar problematic behaviours. Not all menu items work as of yet.The powers Earthquake, Assess and Shockwave do not work yet. There are also a couple of "Coming soon!" things, further ahead in the game. These will be added after entering Early Access in November/December.Autosaving hasn't been implemented yet.You can play 28 missions out of 30, the final mission on Terra doesn't exist yet. Nor does Fierce Campaign for that matter.Fina…
