  • Patch 2026.07.01: Summer Mega-Update Pt. 1 - 9 July 2026

Hi everyone,Thank you so much for your patience with this update! This is far and away our biggest update ever. We've gotten so much done in the last few months, and we can't wait for you to see it.Here are some of the key features included in this update: Chess & PokerOne thing we've been wanting to do for a very long time is to start adding various minigames into LAN Party. We decided to use chess as a testing ground to build the framework for a minigame system, and when that went so well we decided to add Texas Hold'em as well! Both of these games can be played with friends or with bots, and Texas Hold'em supports up to 8 players per table. You can have several chess boards or poker tables in the room at once, so you can have multiple games being played simultaneously. We're interested in adding more games in the near future, so let us know what you'd like to see!VRoid IntegrationSince…

  • Patch 2026.04.1: Image-to-Model - 17 April 2026

Hi everyone,This update took a bit longer than expected, but trust me this is a really fun one. The main focus of this update was image-to-model, and its something I've already spent hours playing around with. This tool allows you to bring in any image and create a fully textured 3D model with a click of a button! We've been really pleased with our test results, and we've found that the output quality is much better than text-to-model. Any model that you create can be configured as any type of asset as well. Here are some examples of a few models I created today:And here's what they look like in-room:We have noticed that as the output quality improves, the models take longer to generate. Previously, you would have to just sit and wait in the asset importer until the model was finished. To fix this, we implemented a persistent task queue that will execute the generation tasks in the backgr…

  • Patch 2026.02.2: More Fixes - 25 February 2026

Fixes:Fixed GIF support for posters posters.Fixed bug where wall textures/color would get cleared if you hit the Lighting Settings button while wall is selected.In-room Room Templates UI is now scrollable.

  • Patch 2026.02.1: Hotfixes - 17 February 2026

Fixes:Fixed an error with some OBJ assets where they would fail to load in and the "Loading..." UI would never disappear.Fixed a stack overflow issue that could cause the app to crash if a room had too many changes.

  • Patch 2026.01.1: Major Update and 50k Players! - 13 February 2026

Hi everyone,Sorry for the wait! We apologize that this update took forever to come out. We've been working on a major rewrite/refactor of our codebase and a migration of our asset database, which ended up being a pretty massive effort. We decided that this was something that needed to be done for the health of our codebase/database and improve our ability to add new features and fix bugs without piling on technical debt. We figured that we might as well rip off the band-aid and do it now while we're still in early access and before we hire more devs. All of our fixes and feature additions were built off of this code refactor, so they couldn't go into production until the refactor was finished. After a ton of testing and bug squashing, we're finally ready to push it live! Now that this refactor is finished, I can promise that our update schedule will be MUCH more frequent moving forward.…

  • Upcoming Update & Future Update Plans - 4 December 2025

Hi everyone!Sorry that its been a couple months since we put out a patch. We've been very busy with a few major features and improvements that have required rewriting and refactoring a massive chunk of our codebase. As you can imagine, there are a lot of edge cases that need to be accounted for and we've been busy rooting out all of the bugs. We're in the home stretch, so we should hopefully have everything good to go for a patch sometime this week or next.In the meantime, I thought it would be a good time to highlight the major changes coming in the next patch and what will be included in patches in the near future. If you are interested in supporting us, getting the premium subscription goes a long way. It helps us continue to work on LAN Party and if we get enough subs, we'll be able to bring on some additional devs to help us get these features finished more efficiently. Also, hop on…

  • Patch 2025.09.01: Optimization and Usability - 22 September 2025

Hi Everyone! We're excited to finally get this update out! In the months following our early access release, we were primarily focused on quickly fixing any bugs you guys brought to our attention and making incremental changes to improve the LAN Party experience. However, over the last month or so, our development focus has been on overhauling core LAN Party features, as well as implementing a few new ones we've been eyeing for a while. One of the major pain points of the application so far has been the time it takes to load a room. Our goal here was to optimize the loading process as much as possible to both improve load times and reduce the compute/memory resources required to load large rooms. To that end, we implemented a significantly more efficient model loader that drastically improves the time it takes to load a 3D model and reduces the amount of memory 3D models use while loaded.…

You can also set codes to never expire and be used an unlimited amount of times. After generating a code, you can copy it to your clipboard using the icon to the right of the code. You can also delete codes and make them stop working by hitting the trash can icon next to the code.To enter a code a friend has given…

Hi everyone,We're excited to announce the release of a highly requested feature: co-op room design! Now you and you friends can edit and design the same room at the same time. We're looking forward to seeing what you create together! To give your friend the ability to edit your room with you, go to "Admin Settings" in the dropdown at the top of the screen while in the room. All members of the room will be listed with checkboxes next to them representing different permissions you can grant them. Once you check the "Editor" checkbox next to your friend's name, they will be able to edit your room. You can also check the "Moderator" box to allow them to invite and kick players from your room. • Experimental branch is now live! - 24 June 2025

Hi everyone,The "experimental" branch I mentioned in the previous update is now live! To access it, right-click LAN Party in your Steam library and go to Properties -> Betas and select the "experimental" branch. We will update this branch with new features that have foundational changes that will require further testing. We recommend everyone on the room be on the same branch to mitigate potential issues. This update includes:Extensive sanity check for rooms when loading in. This will validate if the room contains a true loop between any of its walls. It will display only the walls in the correct loop and delete all rooms not included. This should fix issues people had where their room bugged and had a bunch of junk walls but they couldn't draw or clear the room. Since this has the capacity to delete walls, we want to test this further to avoid catastrophe.Fixed the issue where "Loading.…
