- Son of Nor gets RealSense update! - 19 April 2016
Hello, Son of Nor fans! We’re excited to say that Son of Nor has received a new update that makes the game compatible with Intel RealSense! If you have an Intel RealSense, this update can change the way you play the game in some very cool ways! The Intel RealSense features can be turned on or off in the Settings menu, like the other peripherals supported by Son of Nor. With Intel RealSense turned on, you will control character movement with the mouse, using the left mouse button to run. Your free left hand controls telekinesis and terraforming with gesture control, and you cast spells with the voice commands “Fire,” “Wind,” and “Essence.” Pretty cool, right? In addition to the Intel RealSense integration, the new update includes several bug fixes. We’ve also added the ability to configure the “E” key (Cast Selected Spell) in the Settings menu. Expect tons of improvements like: Improved performance and framerate, Improved initial levels, more polishing, tons of bug fixes, improved balancing like reduced fall damage and much more! Here's part of the changelog for version version 1.0.78:10044: - drastically reduced fall damage due to player feedback - completely overworked tutorial according to player feedback - creatures now die sooner when burried in sand - fixed bug with fire pillars pushing you into the sky - added tearaway sounds to the dry tree branches - fixed fog plane issue at the beginning of the wind temple - certain eggs are no longer enhanceable - improved cutscenes in the edge - overworked level 2 goals - fixed a bug where the AI debugger sometimes caused log flooding, resulting in low FPS - Fixed controller support for t…

Based on feedback from the fans, we’ve made major changes to the opening minutes of Son of Nor, designed to get you into the action faster. The first two levels have been completely reworked: the tutorial section is faster and formerly mandatory side quests are now optional. As a result, you’ll get into the core of the game much more quickly!
