  • Die Cook v1.1 Update - 12 January 2024

    Added Features: Employee training: Employees can now undergo paid training. Cost $25 base + $25 per current level of the employee. They will not work (roll dice) for the next 4 hours). Shop restock: You can now pay to instantly restock the shop. Cost is $25 first time, then $25 more each time you pay for a restock. Added Achievements for both of the above. Balance tweaks: Shop item appearance requirements lowered. New Game initial shop has more options. Lowered % chance of multiple sides early game. Lowered % chance of needing 2 dice to cook an item early game. Increased % chance change of needing 2 dice to cook an item with each level of "Ingredient Quality" upgrade. Misc: Employee Happiness shows on their ID. If an employee is currently training that will show on their ID as well.

  • Die Cook v1.02 Update - 7 January 2024

    Hello Chefs! We have another update, and this one may seem small but has some key changes that should make the game balance a lot better overall. It'll still be very tough early on if you start as a high wage employee and with multiple food items, but the mid-late game should be less of a breeze and obtaining a 5-Star rating will take longer and require a lot more upgrades to obtain. Changes: Upgrades that affect # of tickets have been tweaked for a better mid-late game experience. Upgrade descriptions have been updated. Upgrade prices and upkeep have been adjusted for better balancing. Hidden rating cap is now affected by # of items on your menu, # of upgrades purchased, and # of incoming tickets in a single day. New hidden achievement added for an easter egg that was already in the game. Version # added to main menu. Bug Fixes: New upgrade data or changes will load into an existing saโ€ฆ

    Various changes implemented in this update. Mostly fixes for mechanics and some balancing adjustments on items that weren't working as expected. Balancing tweaks & other changes: Orders per hour calculation adjusted. Rating factors into potential additional orders. Group size (parking lot upgrade) properly factoring into orders. Rating calculation adjustment. Rating cap factors in total # of active menu items. Squashed Bugs: Firing an employee after a roll and using their dice. Upgrade level not applying correctly upon loading a save. Weekly stats summary screen. Using a special "Cook" dice on cold foods.
