• DEADCAM | Major Content Update - 26 August 2025

  IMPORTANT: First of all, my sincere apologies for breaking your save files. With this big update, I had to change the original save file's name. This was for two reasons: I needed it to fit the naming scheme, and too many new variables would have made the old saves unusable. This should be a one-time thing, so again, my apologies. Now, before I go into the nitty gritty of all the new stuff, I've created a short video to showcase some of the new changes. For the past month or so, I’ve been working hard on expanding and improving existing features and mechanics. I've listened to feedback and mixed that with my existing plans for the game, resulting in an improved inventory system a new map system and an inspection system. • Early Access Update #4, July 18 2025 - 17 July 2025

  Patch #4 is quite a big one! I've been at it squashing a number of bugs and further improve aiding the player as to where to go in the form of changing the objective system. There's now a Main Objective and a Secondary Objective. The Katana has also received a big overhaul. Now being able to hit multiple targets with much better hit registration. I've also increased the swing speed so you are now able to slash the girls up a lot faster. The goal is to try and block and then launch a bunch of swings. The girls are now also able to open any (unlocked) door, so no more hiding in rooms. On top of that, I've also refined the spawn system. So far I've not seen anyone spawn where they shouldn't but I did only a single run from start to finish, so I may have missed some stuff.   Hi everyone, I've released another patch/update to the game, including the ability to block enemy attacks with the Katana. I've been listening to some of the requests for this feature. I've tested the mechanic itself and I think it's a welcome addition. I've also reduced some of the enemy health, so encounters should feel more meaningful and less like a drag. These changes have been possible thanks to player feedback. Please let me know what you guys think about the changes! I might still have to tweak some values and try to refine the mechanic some more. Added Katana Block Mechanic: You are now able to block enemy attacks using the Katana. When wielding it, it replaces the aim function (for ranged weapons) to a block function. • Early Access Update #2, July 12 2025 - 12 July 2025

  Thank you all for your feedback and bug reports, I've been keeping an eye out while I work through fixing bugs and issues and improving overall player experiences! Here's a list of what's been done in this update. Added enemy spawn cool down: I've added a small cool down period for when enemies can spawn. This allows for a bit more exploration time and make encounters a tad less predictable. This will be ignored during the fuse box alarm event. Reduced Katana Girls Spawn Limits: The Katana girls should spawn-in a little less frequent on Easy and normal difficulties. Objective system tweaked / fixed: I've tweaked how the objective system works and also removed the annoying "Keycard" objective bug. Objectives should now appear and disappear properly.   Welcome to the Early Access release of DEADCAM! IMPORTANT: If you've played the DEMO or an earlier version of the game, make sure to press the "CLEAR FILE DATA" button on the main menu to avoid possible bugs or issues regarding the save game data! I created the tagline “ANALOG • SURVIVAL • HORROR” to reflect the game’s multi-faceted nature. DEADCAM is a collection of interactive horror stories, presented as “recordings” stored in “Files.” Each File offers a unique atmosphere, setting, and narrative. Some explore psychological horror, while others focus on survival horror. This Early Access release features the first File: “ONRYŌ”, set in a Japanese high school during the 1990s. “ONRYŌ” emphasizes survival horror, but future Files will explore different subgenres—including deeper psychological horror.
