- Update 1.1.2: "No save file" fix - 27 January 2025
Several of you reported that new update brought a critical bug: game was not saved on exit. Oof! Thanks to your reporting (especially 4RT1F1C1AL who provided an exact source of problem on discussion page), we could catch the Steam Cloud bug and fix it with this new update. If you've already started the game and some of the progress was erased - sorry, and feel free to use one of these cheatcodes to get back to action a bit faster: comphello - to complete most of the first world compunplug - to complete most of the second world Once again, sorry for all the troubles and thanks for reporting! Ivan and Eva
- First update (and thank you all!) - 26 January 2025
Hello, fellow detourists! First and foremost: thank you for all the support! Our game may not be the most popular one, but we hit a lot of cool milestones during the past two months, including: selling 1000 copies appearing in EDGE magazine and on Aliensrock channel getting to 100 reviews with 100% positive! We're so glad you are enjoying our game! As a small thank you, we made this "biggest small update". What's inside? New hand-drawn comics for each world! If you've already completed the game, you can simply open first level of each world to see the funnies. Mac support Cloud sync support The ability to toggle speed up functionality instead of holding the button (advanced setting) Optimizations for game build - now it can run even on much older devices! Several bug and level fixes What does the future hold? More levels? Level editor? Ports to other platforms? Time will tell, but we su…
- v.1.0.6: Third patch is a charm - 7 December 2024
Hello! Nothing too extreme here, mainly dealing with visual bugs. Glad everyone is enjoying the game! Changelog - fixed visual bug on bonus levels in World 2, when robot friends didn't materialize when you collected all charge particles - fixed visual bug in world 6 regarding undo + special blocks - fixed mouse aim "sticking" when you grab battery on levels with moving blocks (this game really does have mouse controls hidden in the settings, try them!) - removed unintended solutions on levels 56, 72, 85 We have a couple of QoL changes in mind (saveslots, cloud saves, etc.), will combine them with a small content update (really small!) and make an update in the near future. Feel free to suggest any QoL features in the comments you'd like to see!
- 1.0.5 update, a.k.a. second patch - 20 November 2024
Patchnotes - fixed unintended solution on lvl 85 - fixed double undo after death - faster map load! - fixed not respecting music volume setting on game load (also this hopefully fixes the inability to launch the game for some users) - fixed visual bug on undo in bonus levels in world 2 - added antialiasing to some buttons - fixed camera in the last level More to come, stay tuned! After things settle down we'll hopefully work on a small content update for Christmas/New Year :)
- v.1.0.4: First fixes! - 17 November 2024
Hello, fellow detourists! Thank you so much for playing Robot Detour in the first days, streaming and reporting bugs! The release went almost smoothly... at least without any major bugs. But still, there is always something to fix and to make better! Here is our first patchnote: - fixed stunlock if you complete a level and touch enemy at the same time - added missing strings for localizations (they were displayed in English before) - navigating through map now always correctly moves the screen to desired page - patched unintended solutions on levels 30, 69 and 84 - added third hint on level 21 - fixed battery behaviour on secret level in Arcade world - fixed opening latter levels after using "skip Arcade world" button - fixed rare bug when after breaking the game it starts operating in slow-mo That's, of course, not all! We are still working on a couple of bugs and will fix them in the…
- Robot Detour is out! - 14 November 2024
Hello, players! Sorry we didn't communicate that much through Steam announcements, we were too busy finishing the game. When the studio is just two people, there is not much management you can do... Anyways. Robot Detour is finally finished and out! Last year was a wild ride for the game and our studio, but we did our best to make this game shine. Just to name a few things about the final game: - 88 levels in 6 worlds with completely new mechanics each time - 3-4 hours for completing the game - robust undo mechanic - even more accessibility options in form of hints and ability to skip the dexterity part of the game - hand-drawn opening comic - the amount of polish we didn't even know this game could handle - localisation to 12 languages - perfect difficulty and unhinged fun mechanics Hope you'll have a good time with our debut game. Looking forward to your reviews, and see you in Steam…
- Steam Deck compatability: state & updates - 11 November 2024
Several playtesters tried Robot Detour on Steam Deck, and it can be easily completed from start to finish without any problems! Feel free to test the game for yourself and post updates in the comments! We don't have hardware to test on, but well try to address what we can.
- Quality of life update #1 - 16 February 2024
So, what do we have here... Finally: now you can undo several times! Even during the level! Keyboard navigation: now you can play with arrows or wasd without ever touching your mouse! Some other quality of life fixes that are still important, but not as important as first two points Have fun playing Robot Detour demo ~
- First demo fix (0.7.4) - 3 February 2024
- Fixed "undo" reverting to blocks stuck in the middle of animation - Fixed broken pause/settings navigation - Fixed unintended route in level 8 - Fixed SFX setting not affecting some sounds - Fixed robot movement during pause menu Hopefully that's all breaking changes! Next update will be about some smaller fixes, and then I'll work on "quality of life things" like infinite undo. Till later!
- Robot Detour demo is out! - 31 January 2024
Hello Steam community! I am still not familiar with how "the stuff is done" here, but I know for sure that: - we made a public demo for Robot Detour - It has no game-breaking changes, the experience is pretty smooth - I should initiate this contact with you 😌 Our whole team is very glad to see all the reception, feedback and new people. We are glad you are enjoying the demo! Expect several small fixes over the next days (we are just a couple of people working on the game in their free time), and I look forward to talking to you again soon. Till later!
