• Future of the Dodollies - 11 May 2025

  Tale Document #02 In sync with our last post, something that we’ve wanted to do for the longest time is improve the models of the Dodollies. We’ve come a long way since we started this journey, and because of that, our skills have leveled up. So our little Dodollies are also getting a visual upgrade. Along with this, we’ll soon be unveiling our third Dodolly. She’s going to complete the trifecta of Dodollies and will join Coco and Bronnie on their adventure. Once again, thank you for all your feedback, and we hope you’ll get to see a new face of the Dodollies soon.

• Feedback and Implementation - 20 April 2025

  As a team, we wanted to thank everyone who has played the public demos when available and has forwarded their feedback our way. We’ve taken notice, and since the last time our demo was available, we’ve made drastic changes to how you play Dodolly Tales (while keeping everything you mentioned you liked), and we are really excited to show it off. Not only have we changed mechanics, but also made improvements to the visuals. We’ve improved clarity on the abilities and enemies. We’ve tweaked other elements to be more cohesive with the narrative we’re trying to tell. Most importantly—the main type of enemies, the rat constructs. We’ve also heard some requests for localization, and because of that, we are happy to announce that we’ve completed localization for Portuguese and German. So expect those changes in the following weeks.

• Next Fest and public demo - 14 October 2024

  Next Fest is here, and with it comes the chance to share our demo with you all! Over the past few months, we’ve received a lot of feedback, and now we’re excited to show you what we’ve been working on. In this demo, you’ll be able to play through the tutorial and the first stage of the game. Cocothea will be your Dodolly of choice, with many magic powers unlocked right from the start. We’d love to hear your thoughts! Feel free to share your feedback in the review section – your insights will help us make the game even better.

• Dodolly Update: Big Bad Rat Bosses Coming to Dodolly Tales - 16 September 2024

  We’re excited to announce that bosses are coming to Dodolly Tales! The first of them, the fearsome “Ratatank,” is complete and ready for battle. It is a special force rat-puppet controlling a huge tank and you’ll face it on its own stage—a miniaturized replica of an army base. What’s the dynamic of this boss mode? Before you take on the boss, you’ll need to survive five waves of enemies. This will give you time to level up and properly prepare for the challenge ahead. Once the Ratatank arrives, it will bombard you with rockets, attempt to run you over, and even call for reinforcements. The longer the battle drags on, the stronger and more aggressive Ratatank becomes—so efficiency is key! What does this mean for the game? With this boss mode fully implemented, future bosses will take just a fraction of the time to develop. Expect to see more fearsome enemies with unique mechanics in the…

• Development Update: First half of 2024!🎉 - 19 May 2024

  Hello friends, We are already halfway through the year and we want to show you some of the things we've been working on. Rest assured these dolls are going to see the light of day. Game Modes First, I want to talk to you about game modes. It's easy to see that we have taken inspiration from games like Vampire Survivors, but we've taken the genre in our own way and we hope to reflect it in our game modes. For the moment these are: Seek and Destroy: In this game mode, you have to scout the map to find enemy spawners, then stay within range to destroy them. Defense: In this game mode, you'll have to defend a crystal in the center of the map. You'll have to survive at least 5 waves. Survival: The flagship mode for this genre, here you'll have to survive at least 5 minutes.
