  Hi, my name is Alex and I'm the solo developer working on this game. I hope you'll join me for this pre-recorded walkthrough of a single run of the demo, to give you an idea about the game mechanics for how the different weapons work, and core game mechanics. At it's core, Star Deck is a deckbuilding roguelike experience, so many players will feel comfortable if they have experience with similar games like Slay the Spire. The difference in Star Deck is a dual wielding weapon experience where the deck you build becomes a mix of the weapons you choose on each run. The demo has 2 weapons available, the laser blaster & ice hammer. Final game will have 5 unlockable weapons, and the fun will be experimenting with different combinations as you play more difficult New Games! Final game will have 5-6 levels to play through on each run. The robot city, aptly named Robotica is just the first level…

• Major Demo Update! Gearing up for Next Fest - 24 January 2024

  Hey everyone! As we gear up for Steam Next Fest on Feb 5th - 12th, we've released the newest, best version of the demo to really make a splash! If you haven't already, please follow the Kickstarter here. We added some new cards to the Blaster deck to give it a bit more OOMPH since the hammer was getting a bit too much love. Not sure if a prior demo was on my page as I look at the analytics, it looks like the game was downloaded several thousand times in the past week so THANK YOU ALL!!! Keep in mind, there were some confusing bugs in the prior versions. Bug fixes since the last update: You now visit the weapon shop (with tutorials) from the intro dialogue scene if it isn't skipped Fixing some loud audio sounds in the intro dialogue scene (sorry!) Fixed intro text for the Map to wait on click Added Space Dust TM atmospheric fun to all battle & chest scenes!
