Going forward, the next update will focus more on the romance, sexual content, and worldbuilding, now that the characters are able to relax again.There is also new side content added. Update: v0.15 needs a few more hours to finish up. It will release the morning of August 12th, JST. Sorry for the slight delay, and thank you for your patience! Hey, quick post to let everyone know when you can expect to play the new update.v0.15 of Rebel Duet will release on August 10 (Monday, JST). There's a small chance unexpected issues could push it to the 11th, but overall I'm confident in this release date.This is a pretty large update and is divided into two halves: the climax of Act 3, and the start of Act 4. There's also new side content, such as map events and training scenes.Thanks to everyone for your support and patience. I hope you'll enjoy playing it! Development for v0.15 is in its final stages and is expected to be completed within the next few weeks. This puts the scheduled release date in July. Though I was hoping for a June release, the scale of the action scenes required a bit more development time. I've also increased the size of the update with several extra Act 4 scenes, leading to a more balanced mix of action, character development, and story progression. On the way to the bedroom, you'll encounter Valerie, prepared and waiting for you. Her seductive behavior adds some spice before the main dish - the nightly training of your naughty succubus. The Act 4 section of v0.15 adds two training sessions. v0.15 of Rebel Duet is now around 65-70% complete. Most of the Act 3 climax has been rendered, and I've expanded parts of it with a few extra scenes, including a brief (~5 min) reveal of Avarenth's past.This section of the story is quite a bit different from previous fight scenes, as the stakes are much higher and there are some lasting consequences that come from it. Without spoiling too much about the fight itself, you can expect both the protagonist and the girls to be pushed to their limits.Working on these scenes has been a lot of fun, as there are some new types of magic introduced, and we get to see the main characters at their strongest with nothing holding them back.After the climax, Act 4 will give the characters more time to breathe and relax. It's still a bit too early to give a release estimate, but the v0.15 update should have significantly more content than the previous one.This update adds a short scene with Alina, the grand duke's youngest daughter. She'll play a very important role in Act 4, and I felt this would be a nice opportunity to introduce her to the protagonist.Alina will be a romance/sexual option later in the story, as one of the game's three side heroines. The next update for Rebel Duet (v0.15) is still relatively early in development, but it's already shaping up into one that I think a lot of players will enjoy.This update will contain two main parts: the climax of Act 3, and the beginning of Act 4. The start of Act 4 introduces several new characters, including the game's first dark elf. Though I'm still working out the full extent of their roles in the story, I'm considering the dark elf joining as a potential ally. So far, all the MC's combat-ready friends have been women, so adding one guy to the ranks should make the party dynamics more interesting. Update (Feb 7): Taking a couple extra days to give the script more editing passes, and to make sure the translations are working properly. The target is a Feb 12 (Thur) release. Happy New Year! I was hoping to post this devlog last week, but the holidays made the timing more difficult than expected. Development for v0.14 is progressing nicely. Though it's still a bit too early to announce a release date, it should follow the usual schedule, with a release planned between December to January. The new story content will be divided into two main parts: the flashback of the MC's past, and a direct continuation of what happened in v0.13. There will also be a new scene added to Act 1, as well as new positions and improvements to the training system. The flashback shows events from nine years ago, with the MC in their early twenties. This is a very important part of the overall story and the MC's growth as a character. It will also touch on some philosophical and moral questions, which I think are important for a dark fantasy game. v0.13 is about 75% complete, and will be releasing between early-to-mid September! During your date with Valerie, you'll experience an amusing situation as Valerie mistakes a portly man for an ogre. There's a lot she still doesn't understand about this world... and she is, after all, quite the troublemaker.This update also utilizes the narrator's voice (third-person) more often, particularly during Rena's fight scene. I've had a lot of fun writing these parts, since they allow me to expand on the lore and fight mechanics in real-time. v0.12 is planned for release in about a week! I'm aiming to have it ready before the end of this month, but it could slip into the first week of June due to the addition of a new ending scene and some recent personal events that set me back a few days. This update adds 6 new story sex scenes (three for male MC, three for female MC). I'd like to include more training scenes for Valerie in v0.12, but since the update has already taken longer than expected, there's a chance these might get pushed to the next version. The training system will also see a more substantial overhaul in v0.14 and v0.15. You'll likely notice an improvement in render quality in this update. I've been experimenting with more cinematic styles of lighting, and I think the result is quite nice overall. I was originally aiming for a late April release, but I felt it was more important to focus on the quality and length of content. This update has significantly expanded in scope and size. The first in-game day of v0.13 has been added to v0.12, which includes the Rena date, her second set of sex scenes, and several other key moments in between.
