Hello from Studio BBB! One week after launch, we're ready to share MONOWAVE's first update. We've refined wall jumps and movement in the air, and fixed progression blockers in boss encounters and hidden stages. The update also brings new colour vision filters, clearer Codex and menu layouts, and improvements to co-op play and sound. Your detailed reports, screenshots and videos have been a great help in finding the causes of these issues. Thank you for taking the time to share them with us. 1. Controls and Movement 1.1. Wall Jumps When climbing between two walls with Anger, you now have more time to queue your next jump. Press jump in advance and keep holding towards the next wall to perform a wall jump when you reach it. Fixed wall jump inputs sometimes being missed when changing direction. Meet Mono, a newborn guardian spirit In this puzzle-platforming adventure, Happiness, Sorrow, Anger and Anxiety each give Mono different abilities. Sing to share those feelings with nearby spirits, then use their reactions to solve puzzles and open new paths. Across four worlds, you’ll meet four Emotion Spirits, each overwhelmed by one feeling. Mono could use a little help, too. Our co-op trailer introduces Prism, the companion you’ll control as player two. You play Mono. Your friend plays Prism. While one of you guides Mono, the other can fly freely around the same screen as Prism, passing emotions to nearby creatures and helping with the puzzles. Block incoming projectiles or become a platform to help Mono across a tricky gap. Together, you’ll help the spirits you meet work through their feelings.
