  We are happy to announce that we are participating in Steamfest next week with our game Book Smugglers! In the times where imperialism is making a comeback and multiple cultures are on the verge of erasure, it’s more important than ever to speak about the resistance. In the 19th century, when Lithuania was under the control of the Russian Empire, our and several other languages (Ukrainian, Polish, Belarusian, Latvian and Estonian) were severely restricted, and Latin print was banned completely. But people resisted: we preserved our language by smuggling banned books, by teaching in underground schools, by refusing to give in to the oppressor. We aim to teach the world about this unique part of our history and honor the resistance by releasing the game about our heroes: the book smugglers.
