  A new devlog about the raven form in Velkyn is now available! Today, I’m introducing a very special feature: In the open world of Velkyn, you will always be able to transform into an astral raven. The Raven Form I’ve already fully implemented the raven into the game, and the transformation is working. If you're in the open world of Velkyn and have activated at least one astral crystal, you can transform into a raven and explore the world from above! The implementation of the raven took a lot of time and required extensive testing. When ascending, you lose speed, and when diving, you accelerate. The raven has an ability called "Flap" - with this, the raven takes a very strong wing flap and gains an instant speed boost. • New VELKYN Minigame Devlog - 25 May 2025

  A new VELKYN devlog has just been published! Today it's all about one of the minigames you can find throughout the world of VELKYN. Golf Minigame You’ll encounter the golf minigame pretty early in the game. Minigames are located in so-called minigame huts. These huts are run by brothers from an old trade family. Each minigame offers its own type of challenge - and of course, there are useful items to win! In this dungeon-themed golf minigame, you need to be accurate, because you can only win if you sink the ball on every course in just a few strokes. Minigames in VELKYN aren’t meant to be annoying or super grindy, but they should still provide a certain level of challenge as well as variety for the player.   Welcome to the first development update for VELKYN on Steam! I'm excited to share that I'll be posting devlogs here on Steam, in addition to my YouTube channel. If you're reading this, there's a good chance you're interested in everything about VELKYN. Catching Up Since the store page launched, a lot has happened in the game's development. In short, I've scrapped and restarted work on the old character controller and some other elements, which set back the timeline a bit.
