- Patch notes for version 1.45b - 22 June 2026
This is a minor update that mostly fixes bugs: 1. multiplayer mode menus now display properly when "native" resolution is selected 2. post-race trophy and rival names display correctly when "native" resolution is selected 3. Multiple EU DLC tracks weren't playing nice with the new "vertex wobble" setting, they should be now! 4. Adjusted slightly how breakable objects work (Chicago, Turin) to make them less likely to disrupt spectator cars and other objects 5. some minor performance optimizations that may help lower-end hardware run the game more smoothly
- More graphical options - 28 May 2026
Today's patch (v1.44b) adds a few more graphical options for player comfort. These can all be found in the Visuals section of the in-game options menu. 1. VERTEX WOBBLE can now be enabled (default) or disabled 2. TEXTURE STRETCHING can now be enabled (default) or disabled (this setting is hardly noticeable on the campaign tracks for the most part, but might be quite noticeable on some mod tracks) 3. GAME RESOLUTION now supports a "native" option to run the game at your window/screen resolution instead of the simulated Sega Saturn 1x and 2x resolutions.
- Hamburg lighting + checkpoint fixes - 21 May 2026
This patch updates the progress overview screen to indicate which campaign is selected (USA Circuit / European Tour), and also has some improvements to the European Tour DLC: 1. Redid the lighting for Hamburg track, it should display properly in OpenGL mode now 2. Adjusted the placement and size of multiple checkpoints to be a bit more forgiving of players going very, very, very fast.

This patch addresses a few issues reported since the big DLC update: The game should remember your fullscreen setting and restore it properly now (it will always initially launch in a window, but soon restore your setting) Removed a rogue collider in Geneva (EU DLC final track) Leaderboard navigation improved (pressing right on an entry takes you to the top row of buttons) Leaderboard has "zebra striping" now When manually challenging ghosts from the leaderbaord, the ghost opacity follows your preferences now instead of always being super opaque "previous rank" showing "--" always for players who had auto-download of rival ghosts disabled is fixed now Car number 89 has been found I added a cheat code to enable the debug view from my recent physics video (the unlock code is a secret, but I'm sure you will all figure it out)
- DLC Is Here + Other Improvements - 27 April 2026
The European Tour DLC is finally available on Steam! This update adds support for the European Tour DLC. It contains the main files for the DLC, but to play them purchasing the European Tour DLC is required. This is a minor update that addresses some issues: custom music in mod tracks should work for all players in online multiplayer now performance issues with the multiplayer lobby after playing a race should be fixed now mod tracks can now elect to allow endurance mode or disallow it using a setting in info.cfg for the track when choosing custom colors for a car, the darkest of the selected colors is used for the car's number now to improve readability improved the UI for the track select page when there are lots of options (the dots become a simple X/Y page indicator)
- Mod tracks go multiplayer, add leaderboards and more! - 10 March 2025
This update to PGRC makes mod tracks more competitive, and enables new track types. Here are the main changes: Mod tracks now have leaderboards and ghosts, just like the main tracks. Mod tracks can now be played in online and local split-screen multiplayer. Mod tracks can now be point-to-point tracks (no laps), like... actual RALLY races :) Mod tracks can now have branching paths including support for separate checkpoints along different routes. - Custom Tracks are here! - 20 January 2025
"Another big update for PGRC has just arrived. We have been working on adding mod support to the game, and today the first part is now available: Custom track mods are now live, using Steam Workshop! Players can now create their own custom tracks (using external mod tools), and share them with other players using Steam Workshop. Some early testers have already made some amazing tracks. This is just the beginning for mod support, more features for custom tracks, including support for leaderboards and playing custom tracks in multiplayer is planned, along with the ability to add custom cars into the game as well. - Workshop coming soon - 25 December 2024
You may have noticed that the Steam Workshop for Parking Garage Rally Circuit is now visible, with some custom made tracks starting to show up. This is because Workshop support for game mods (custom tracks) is now in beta testing! I hope to release an update with workshop support very soon. - MacOS Support + Minor Bug Fixes - 14 November 2024
This update brings Parking Garage Rally Circuit to version 1.11a. The biggest change in this version is the addition of MacOS support for the game! If you try the game out on Mac, please let me know if you run into any issues with the game! Otherwise this update has some minor bug fixes reported by the community: fixed issues with changing scale from small car cheat in multiplayer lobbies removed the red debug line on luggage cars in Seattle split screen lobby fix for liveries and colors on cheat cars fixed restarting race while results music is playing stops music now to ensure in-race music plays

This is a minor update with some smaller fixes: added a setting for ghost opacity, you can adjust ghost opacity between 100%, 75%, 50% (default), 25%, and 10% values. fixed the setting menu being unresponsive when opened while spectating a leaderboard ghost implemented a maximum replay recording duration of 10 minutes to get rid of crashes when you play in a track for too long and the replay overflows back-to-wheels forces are reduced now when using the Tiny Cars cheat hiding the little blue panel on car select and track select when the prompt it contains is hidden controls sliders show the correct % value when the controls screen loads now
- Split-screen is here (and more) - 25 October 2024
This update is a big one! It adds local split-screen multiplayer for 2-4 players, among several other improvements! List of changes below. Split-screen multiplayer for 2-4 players. One player can use the keyboard, the rest need a connected game controller. Lots of options including contact (collisions) between players can be enabled. Cheat code revamp - cheat codes are now remembered once they have been entered once, and there is a new menu for easily toggling discovered cheat codes on/off. Race restart music behavior option: you can now let the music keep playing when you restart a race, instead of it starting over from the beginning over and over. Added controller prompt images for PS5 (Dual sense) controllers. Added an option to specify a specific controller to use for navigating the user interface (defaults to "any connected"). The next update to Parking Garage Rally Circuit will add split-screen multiplayer to the game, for 2-4 local players! This update will also feature some other bug fixes and improvements as well. - Achievement fixes and race ghost caching - 28 September 2024
I have just released version 1.03 which patches several bugs: When you quick-restart a race, or restart from the pause menu, or restart from results but without setting a new best time, ghosts are simply re-used instead of re-downloaded! This should generally make the game way less over-enthusiastic about constantly re-downloading the same ghosts over and over. many achievements are re-checked on the progress overview screen now the long-standing "bronze trophies seem to follow silver trophies" bug has been fixed! quick restart during the attract mode "exploit" (which was kinda cute but buggy) has been properly disabled now :) As usual please let me know if you have issues with the game and I will do my best to address them! - Small but impactful multiplayer change, and crash fixes! - 24 September 2024
Another small patch, this brings the game to v1.02a. This should make finding and joining multiplayer lobbies much easier (more detail below), and crashes related to the cheat cars have also been fixed. Full details: Previously, when a lobby went into a race, the lobby was marked as unjoinable. This meant that if you checked multiplayer, you would often see no lobbies even though people were playing (they were just in a race). Now, even when mid-race, the lobby remains open and new players can join and wait in the lobby for the next race. When you are waiting in the lobby you will see some updates in the chat log as players finish the current race. I hope this helps people find matches more easily! There was also a nasty crash bug related to a certain cheat code car, its ghost was too powerful, and whenever the ghost was loaded it crashed the game. This has been fixed, and the cheat car…
